Got this kit in the other day and was finally able to get it in the air today after a bunch of headaches trying to set it up with a couple rx's I had from previous helis. Needless to say none of them seemed 'right' to me so after some frustrations with that, I set it up tonight and everything went smooth.
I'll update once i get some more flights on it but it flies good, relatively quiet, smooth and seems like a good lil heli
I'm looking forward to more flights.

Question: what batteries are you running with the 470? I got a couple align 45c 1250mah, and gens ace 60c 1800mah.

I would definitely run the larger 1800mah packs for longer flight times. They also don't need to be such high C rating.

60% of the time, it works every time!

Run the batteries that balance the helicopter. Since I do not know your flying style, I cannot recommend C ratings. The more 3D stick banging you do, the higher rated the batteries should be. 40c is not too much for Helis.

Sorry I must clarify, I wasn't suggesting any particular C rating just that an 1800mah pack can be of a much lower C rating than a 1250mah pack in the same heli.

I am running the Opti 1600mAh packs and have them quite far back on the plate to get the CoG correct. Align do a 1650 of a similar weight.

It might not be possible to get 1800s far enough back for perfect CoG.

Align have made a longer battery holder to cover the problem so you might want to look out for that.

Yeah I just ordered some of the battery trays for it as well. I'm a fan of glacier packs and I know they make an 1800mah pack for the gob380, maybe I'll try them out down the road. Thanks

And as far as the C rating, yeah I agree that I don't need that high of a Crating for the flying I do. Thanks for that as well.

I have just finished my Trex470L also.

I ordered GENS ACE (made by Glacier I'm told) 60c 1800ma for them and they just came in the other day.

I'm running a 7200bx and KST servos.

This should be a nice flyer!

That's what I have as well, they balance out well on the heli, I haven't had the COG off at all that much using those lipos.
My setup is the same as yours, I opted out for the 7200bx this time for this heli, I'm using the beast x with a 6 channel rx.

*update* Btw, a 6 channel RX will work with the 470l heli as well, although some sites say that a 7ch+ rx is needed.

Yes, I figured it out and used a different rx with the beastx. It's flying well now, I'm happy with it. It's a nice flying heli for its size.
Thanks
*edit* I know I'm a lil late to the party lol, I put on longer tail blades for it and the tail holds much better, better response. (Not that the 'smaller' ones don't/didn't work bc they obvi do and they worked fine, now it's got a lil pep in its step haha
