^^yee-up^^ that's just what the sign said, I have seen the guy many times before at the same corner, but today he has a new and bigger sign,,

so at this corner there is 3 lanes, 1 for turning right, and 2 lanes for turning left, and one of those 2 lanes is for going straight,, the guy was on the right sidewalk and I was all the way over to the far left lane, my wife was driving,,
so at the stop we were the only car there, the guy was looking straight at me with a big sh!t eating grin and making his eyes big and his smile bigger, LOL he was edging me on to give him money with slight noods,

then this car (a new car) pulls up between me and the guy,,

LOL something on the car's rear bumper caught my eyes, and what did I see, well I see>>>>> a Bernie bumper sticker,,

so I yell out to the young guy driving the car, and I say, "Hey, you like Bernie, help the Vet buy a beer, give the guy a $1",,

dang, too bad the windows were up in the car, he should have heard me if the radio wansn't on,,

now guys, I don't mind helping some one out, but if I see a guy with his hand out and he has a Sig in his mouth or hand I wont help, and I'm not going to give out to a guy to help him buy beer ether, I have seen it first hand, people that need help, yet buy sig's and alcohol with the help they get..
BTW, how do I know if the guy really is a Vet

Easy...tell him your dog is sick and ask him for a prescription.

^^Didn't get the dog sick and prescription thing, but I am slow sometimes...

I can't stand beggars. When we moved to San Antonio 3 years ago, that was one of the things that really shocked me...not just the beggars, not just the number of them, but how damn ballsy they are!

I was sitting in the parking lot one morning talking to my sister at HEB (local supermarket) and then all of a sudden this bum pushes himself into my window and starts asking me for money! I immediately palmed his face, and with my other hand was reaching for my console to pull my gun. When he saw that, he flung himself back and started running..'Easy Bro...'

Then there was the husband and wife team (actually she was quite pretty, just dressed up to look dirty) begging on the corner. One morning, driving near the gas station on the same corner they worked, there is a row of large hedges. I see this brand new Fiat stopped in the road with the passenger door open next to the bushes. Yeap, sure enough a few seconds later she comes thru the bushes and jumps into the car, with him driving.

I work for a living, always have and always will. And I am certainly not passing judgement on those that have fallen on hard times. But lets just say my view on 'beggars' is somewhat tainted.

I know, pretty negative attitude, but I obtained it for a reason.

On one popular multilane corner I have seen them change shifts.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

Some now dress up in uniforms to imitate a Christian charity group.

They hit up the tourists at the riverwalk.....

In Houston, when the Astros get into post-season play, they act like parking lot attendants and scam people at free parking lots.....
