Howdy,

I have been flying RC helicopters for over 20 years and until recently never checked the balance on my tail blades. What I've found to my astonishment is that none of the carbon tail blades I own are even close to being matched in balance.

These include, Radix, Rail, Edge, Funtech and Hirobo.

I have checked my plastic blades and found them all to be identical as expected except for MSH Protos 500 tail blades which seemed to vary quite a bit, not really sure why.

I have been using strips of clear canopy sticker to balance the blades and am now using electrical tape as it sticks very well, comes in many colours and is easily replaced.

What are your experiences and expectations when it comes to tail blades?

I thought this was just a given that you check your tail blades. I've always done it. That's what a gram scale and a KRP is for.
