very interesting... first we added gyros, then we got rid of the flybar...

these guys got rid of the swash plate...

WOW, took me awhile to see how pulsing positive or negative torque caused the blades to change pitch in opposite directions to give roll control.
.
Super simple, but not obvious to me at first until I noted the axis of one blade pivot is opposite the other.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

yes very neat how they figured it out...

just imagine though the processing and timing that has to occur in order to pull this off...

I wonder if or even how we could pull this off for a say 600 class model... it would be a FBL/SPL system.

what would concern me is the overall cyclic throw possible and how that change in position effects the balance of the rotor system, not to mention the load on the tail with constant torque jerks (granted with a Co-ax you can match perfectly with the counter torque of the other rotor)... it could very well be that this works great for a small model that is always upright... but inverted flight control would be out of scope for the design without some sort of primary collective control.
