I have tried connecting the 5.x v-bar software and the v-control software to my Windows 10 Laptop. I get the green usb connection status in the 5.4.x software but the no connection status stays red.

I have the same thing happening in the v control manager software.

I have tried my v-control with v-control manager software, a mini v-bar and the SILVERLINE full size v-bar no luck.

I also installed the drivers according to Vstabi web site instruction video

Any suggestions?

Vbar needs to be upgraded to v6 to work with vcontrol. It's a free upgrade.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Yes I found this for other who is having issues:

Win10 Creator Support
19 April, 2017 - 11:12 – ulrich
Unfortunately the windows 10 Creator USB Drive support is no longer compatible with our Bootloaders. The technical reason is, that Windows uses a "Cache Sync" command (0x35) at initialization time of the USB Drive. Our bootloader does not expect this, since it is not specified in the required USB command list. So the enumeration process hangs infinitely.

Bootloaders are not updateable, since this will have the risk of bricking the device at the customer (Write protected by the hardware).

W10 Creator does not allow to install older or even own drivers on standard drives anymore, so there is no easy Solution. However here is a workaround how to use NEO Updating or VBar Control Boot updating on Windows 10 Creator

Install VirtualBox (120MB) http://www.vstabi.info/vc/VirtualBox.exe

Do a default install, no special settings are needed. If possible, install it at Drive C: so all pathes are already prepared.

Download the Appliance (300MB) http://www.vstabi.info/vc/vbc32.ova

Download the latest VBar Control Manager (45MB)
http://www.vstabi.info/vc/vbarcontrol_manager_1_3_5.exe

You find a checkbox in the UI where you can start the appliance in background. The Check is sticky, so it will start in background automatically the next time.

Now act as normal. the Check shall turn in green if the Appliance is ready. Give the System a bit time if you start/stop Things and connect/unconnect USB with a few seconds pause.

There is a Update for the Radio, so the normal install/remove of apps does not need the workaround anymore. However if the Bootloader is used (Right Stick in lower right corner at start), this Workaround is required.

Hopefully Windows will fix this sometimes in the future. If anyone has better ideas, your are very welcome to recommend a solution.

Technically the appliance is a small linux system, that connects to the VBar Control Manager and redirects all USB accesses of the VBar Control and NEO to Linux. The Linux Driver happily works with our Bootloaders just fine.

ok following the above instructions, I have successfully connected to the v-Controller running Windows 10 on my laptop and it updated but on the Silverline flybarless system it still would not connect still. Is there another solution for the vbar flybarless units?

Did you update it to Ver 6? It's been some time since I programmed a conventional Vbar, but I'm pretty sure that you have to upgrade it to V6 firmware and attach the Vbar sat and bind to the Vcontrol, and after that everything in the setup is done through the Vcontrol TX.

Just tried Windows 7 connecting to the
Silverline Vbar using vstabi 5.3.4 and it would not connect. I also tried updating the software connected to the Internet and I get a port error.
Any suggestions?

Yes finally, got it if you update to 6.0 you can only use the vControl.

If you want to use the software to do mods, you have to recover to version 5.3.4 firmware.

I had and issue with getting emails from Germany to get the license files. But now it all works get thanks to Mikado tech support.
