All personal preference and perspective but there's definitely a big difference between patience and a pointless waste of time.
Since I fly small helis I just buy 50-80w balance chargers off Craigslist for $20 and use multiple chargers instead.
Don't like parallel cause you average things out but guaranteed some took more than others so it's inaccurate charging that provides useless, inaccurate data for monitoring.
Using 3 chargers at 2c I can peak balance charge all 9 of my 1350mah 6s packs in 1 hour and 6 minutes. Have no problem sticking a warm lipo on the charger since even at 2c/2.7a they're cool before the balance cycle begins. You can charge at a very high rate before your packs actually warm up during charging.
That way I know exactly how many mah I put back in each lipo and get per cell pre/post charge data + per cell safety monitoring while charging.
Overly babying just to use the most inaccurate and arguably dangerous method of charging makes no sense to me personally. Thought the sole purpose of parallel charging was to save time.
The beauty of this hobby is, what you do doesn't have to make sense to me. What matters most is it's fun and works for you.
