I am having some major issues with the new 150x I just purchased. Someone told me that ALIGN has a 24/7 phone line for support. Is that true? I have looked on their site and all I see is numbers for Taiwan and an email contact?

Did he crash? Dang, I missed it!

According to the Align site, there are two Align distributors in the US. GrandRC and Enterprise Hobby.

I have never seen a 24/7 hotline for Align.

So what are the major problems you seem to have run into?

Thank you

I have a discussion going in the align electric page but i have followed the instructions (as best I can) and have followed the setup videos straight from align and because I am using a DX8 (spektrum) radio I have to utilize a satellite to bind the heli. But once I unplug the satellite i lose connection to the radio. Surely I am not supposed to fly this little heli with a big sattelite attached somewhere?
I have the app downloaded and I have the radio setup according to aligns own video specifically for my radio so I am just needing someone to walk or talk me through this.

you MUST have that satellite attached - it IS the receiver

EDIT: (Satellite is a must for DSM setup. Futaba protocol FHSS receiver is built into the electronics of my old gen1 Trex-150, I assume the same for the 150X)

If you are attempting to fly using a Spektrum transmitter, you MUST use the satellite receiver. The satellite IS the receiver. The 150 does not speak DSM2 or DSMX on its own.

Yes, you ARE supposed to fly the 150 with the satellite if you use Spektrum technology.

Ok

I can accept that i need the satellite but are there much smaller ones or something? The satellite must weigh almost as much as the heli? I cant even imagine where I am supposed to install it?

install point of satellite

Ok, I can not be the only one out here using the 150x on spektrum radios? Where in the world are you guys installing the satellite? directly on top of the receiver would be ideal but im not sure the canopy will fit over it and it is going to affect CG. On one of the servos would work but that will definately throw off the balance. there is enough room on the under side of the electronics but i am still just wondering about weight? Some pics of what you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks speed nut

I went ahead and installed mine there although my canopy hardly fits over it. But now it will not connect with the radio anymore. Earlier today I got it to bind but as stated earlier, it lost signal when I removed the satellite. Now I no better. I thought it would still be bound but when I power on everything to fly I have no signal. I have followed the video to rebind to no avail. The receiver goes into bind mode when I plug in the battery while pressing the bind button on the receiver and when I turn on the transmitter while holding the bind button the lights on the receiver seem to go through their sequence but nothing happens. I don't get the beeps and the servo dance like before. This is really frustrating. Any help appreciated.

Manual

I do have the manual but honestly I don't do too well on my own. A lot of stuff I am not sure about. I did read through it all though. I do remember that part. I just don't have the manual with me right now. It's at my work.

The manual shows it mounted underneath with the connector facing forward.

Just DL the manual, it's online for free.

They could have added a little more for clarity, but that's all they show.

you can also take the sat out of the plastic case heat shrink the board for protection and it will be smaller, lighter and easier to install.

If you are trying to save weight they do sell the satellites with shorter wire leads on them.

satellite

Thank you guys for the help and information. I didn't realize you could take it out of the case. That would definitely help.
