Yippeee!! US joins Nicaragua and Syria as the countries not in the agreement. Great going trump. In his speech today while announcing the withdraw, trump offers dems a chance to come together to renegotiate a better deal for US. If you don't believe in climate change why bother? Sounds like he's doing his regular wishy-washy thing, not really committing to anything

Now Europe has to come up with a new scam with which to extort money out of the US.
I can hardly wait to see what they will come up with next.

I'm sorry this upset you. When the US joins the party the rest of the world holds out their hand for an unfair share of the funding. Thank you Trump!!!

America first!

If you are really supportive of the Paris agreement, start and fund your own movement and represent the US. Get back to me with your progress on that.

Oh yea. I am getting by deposit back on the Tesla Model 3.

I got news for all you climate change wing nuts... the climate has been changing in vast drastic swings for millions of years before mankind came down from the trees... ice ages, explosions in green house gases, minimal ice caps, etc... all long before mankind.... IN fact the geologic record records a rather constant cycle of heating and cooling... and we are approaching a heating cycle as per the record.
Dinosaurs that roamed the Earth 250 million years ago knew a world with five times more carbon dioxide than is present on Earth today
-Live Science, March 24, 2014

The average estimated temperature during the time of the dinosaurs was 3 °C above modern levels (Wiki)...

So given the "facts" that these scientist now call warming of 0.7 °C over the last CENTURY... is nothing more than statistical noise and a way to scare more funding into their pet projects and careers.

this reminds me of all the "prepper" suppliers scaring everybody about Y2K, 2012, and on and on... its all connected to making money from fearful masses.

President Trump keeping America first.

Global warming was a disguise for reducing your carbon foot print by regulating food, water and energy by the globalists turning every country into depending on every other country.

Moving everyone into mega cities and replacing currency with energy credits.

Most people and Trump can see through the bull schit. Thank goodness.

Look up the Obumbler UN speech around a couple of years ago.

Also, these loons never seem to talk about the orbital mechanics of the earth's orbit around the sun....nor the variation of the earth's rotational axis with respect to it's plane of the orbit around the sun....

The earth's orbit around the sun is NOT circular...but is slightly elliptical....and that eccentricity is such that the distance from the sun can vary by quite a bit....

The tilt of the earth's axis varies from 21.5 to 24.5 degrees.

http://www.indiana.edu/~geol105/ima...ilankovitch.htm

The above is what causes climate change.....not mankind.

In addition, these loons and their scientifically stupid followers believe that if the polar ice at the north pole melts.....then the mean sea level will rise....causing massive flooding and such.

A crock of crap that can be easily disproved by a simple experiment that one can perform in their own kitchens.

Take a glass of water....with ice....up to its brim....

Wait for the ice to melt....and notice that the water doesn't overflow the glass.....ever....

Ice is less dense than water....that's why it floats in water...

These scientifically stupid followers should have paid more attention in school...elementary school, that is...

The loony leaders are simply in this BS for the MONEY....as they couldn't get a job in real science otherwise....and to deny "climate change" is to deny them their money that they scam from people that actually pay NET taxes.

RM - just a side note that the atmospheric conditions that existed during the age of the dinosaur were very different from what they are today. Oxygen levels were about double, which is why flora and fauna were so large. The atmospheric make up then was nothing like the atmosphere now.

Oxygen doesn't make "flora and fauna" larger....

I will amend what I wrote, but the basic premise remains unchanged. oxygen levels were as low as 15% and high as 30% over a period of over a hundred million years, and there are plenty of paleontologists who believe that higher oxygen levels contributed to the size of organisms at that time, just as the reduced levels had the same effect. It's a theory.

also, RM, I am assuming you did not read the full text of the Live Science article, which concludes with the researcher saying:

"We are now producing more C02 than all the volcanoes on earth...We will affect climate in ways that are unprecedented and unnatural."

You would have to....because it's not true....

"which concludes with the researcher saying:
"We are now producing more C02 than all the volcanoes on earth...We will affect climate in ways that are unprecedented and unnatural.""

So what? "Flora and Fauna" should love it, as sunlight and CO2 via photosynthesis will then produce more oxygen. CO2 is necessary.

If there's no CO2, "Flora and Fauna" will die....and there won't be oxygen.

It's the particulate matter that also spews forth from volcanoes that might be more hazardous than CO2.

Even more hazardous is the $20 trillion debt(with over $100T in unfunded mandates) that these corrupt politicians have created to buy votes....that will bankrupt our country if not stopped....

WE that's about the stupidest argument, what about the ice ice on land? So when the ice melts in your glass ,take another glass of ice and dump on top. Now does that rise?

yes... and that right there should tell you that the planet evolves even without any action of man...carbon, oxygen were both higher than today.... and yet according to the fossil record, there was more diversity of life spread over more areas of the land as well as sea.

One often overlooked fact is that since now the USA is the worlds largest producer of grown food, that the central plains area now produces more oxygen (consumes more gaseous carbon) during the growing period than the Amazon rain Forrest.

with or without mankind the world will continue to cycle through climates... it has survived the worst cataclysms as discovered in the fossil record, and mankind is nothing more than a tiny bump in the road, anything we do will be erased over time.

granted we should NOT outright pollute, I got that, but for the USA to go into an agreement in which other nations dont need to adhere to is BS. look how bad China and India pollute thier areas... its so bad they have breathing problems in China, and in India they have the undisputed world record for child birth defects (multiple legs, Siamese twins, deformities)...India is so bad that the pollution in the waterways can be seen from space... the worst offense is that they are also part of the Paris accord with a 4% mark (while the US has a 17%), then China at 20%... WTF

Ever heard of the The Great Pacific Garbage Patch? Its a massive dump of floating garbage mostly thanks to cheap consumer crap from the east. About 80% of the debris in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch comes from land-based activities in North America (not necessarily the US, mexico too) and Asia

So, a question to those that do not like the idea of the US negating our involvement in the Paris Climate Agreement:

Are you suggesting that we, the US, Americans, the greatest Nation on the Planet, are completely incapable of being good stewards of the Planet on our own and that we ABSOLUTELY need the help of other Nations to tell us how to do it? We, as an independent Nation, are unable to figure it out on our own and implement our own strategies?

I have a serious problem being told how not to pollute from other countries that are the worlds worst polluters... like China, India... and we get stuck holding the bill.
