My VX1e is not behaving. On the computer everything seems correct, but when I unplug it and move the helicopter to confirm the correction direction, the aileron is reversed. I have gone thru the settings on the computer several times and I can't seem to find where to reverse this sensing problem.

Can you please point me in the right direction?

thanks
Rafael

sound like you don't have the direction of the unit correct in the software. try telling it a different direction and see if this fixes it

work hard, play even harder!!!!

When i tilt the helicopter with the computer plugged in, the feedback is that the heli is tilting correctly left and right. The unit is mounted upright - cables back. I tried the setting of upright - cables forward, and that fixed the aileron, but reversed the elevator. I even swapped the two rear servos thinking that would be the problem sv2 and sv3 on the swashplate. So everything is as the program calls for, but the aileron is still reversed.

Thanks
Rafael

You must have a wrong direction set somewhere in the software. Set the orientation of the unit to upright, wires back. Make sure elevator is in sv1, then going clockwise on the swash these are sv2 and sv3. Then in swash settings make sure the cyclic responds correctly to the right stick. If this is all correct it should do the right corrections when you tilt the heli. If you've checked all this then I'm not sure. You don't have a servo reversed in your transmitter? Maybe double check in the transmitter calibration that the vortex is matching the directions of your sticks.

Thanks to all that provided input. A phone conversation with onebigjunker reminded me that you can still use the reversing features on the radio to achieve what you are looking for. I was concentrating too much on letting the software do the work that I forgot that other tool at my disposal.

A few minutes later we got it working on the bench. Now to get some time off to actually fly it..........

Thanks
Rafael
