Thought I see who would chime in and why. Me personally I DO NOT FLY any of my helis with the canopys on. I get more power ESPECIALLY nitro and tracks way better in backwards flight in ANY maneuver. What you guys do?

Howdy, my friend, good to see you back.

Personally, I fly with a canopy. I have a vision problem, so the canopy helps for orientation....even though my thumbs know where the heli is, it certainly helps for my eyes to confirm the position!

I know exactly what your talking about. I feel it tracks better too but im starting to think I prefer seeing the entire length of the tail boom and find it better to keep straight and precise when looking at flat carbon fiber and the 90 degree angles of a heli frame

Hey jb! That's what I figured for most it was just a visual thing. I starting with canopy off after watching pro Tim Jones fly. I don't think he even owns one lol. I thought there's gotta be something to it. As align pros HAVE TO fly what comes in the kit and that includes a canopy... plus at $80 You can get a set of blades for that. I have a really nice one for my electric and nitro but there only on when there sitting on the table. GUYS WHY CAN'T I FIND ROTOR BLADES? Is there some secret website I don't know about now. 2 years gone and wtf? It's lime I quit right when everythi g went down!

wow you guys brave flying without canopy, I can only do that when setting up, so I'm flying close, I could not fly far away without canopy on id loose it LOL...

if your worried about it tracking in FFF is that to do with FBL unit ? if not us F3C guys used to experiment with the horizontal boom fin, we would ajust the angle, make it smaller, bigger etc , move further out etc.. until we got it right..

Since I crashed a lot when learning to fly I didn't use the canopy. And I did lose orientation at a distance and crashed, probably should have started using the canopy at that point of my flying skills.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

I think it looks better with a canopy. I choose canopys with colors that are easy to see at a distance.

True most wouldn't truly recognise a heli without the canopy it completes the helis look. I mostly fly nitro and electric but I fly close and nitro theres a smoke trail to help, electric well.... don't lose it lol

I didn't fly my n7 much with a canopy mainly because they are £95! But also because the n7 actually looks pretty good without! Plus you save a ton of weight and faster backwards flight!

60% of the time, it works every time!

"dust was attracted to the oil like a magnet canopy "

Crashed in the lake....took it to the car wash....spot free rinse to clean the muck off....

And only the canopy seemed to be damaged.........should have left it off.....LOL

Full tear down cleaved of dust our her back together and c what happens. But apparently it's hard to get the blades I like to fly! Gonna try some 600mm kbdd blades that's o e set I've never tried looks there tails on my nitro so will c on the main.....

Some RC distributors buy it in bulk and then re-sell it at a "jacked up" price....

Don't get suckered for that BS....
