Some of you may recall that Robbe in Germany was (or interfaced with) the engineering staff for the development for such things as telemetry and the S.Bus. Robbe is toast and Ripmax.de is now it. Looking at this ad:

http://www.ripmax.de/rc-anlagen/fer...hz-r7008sb.html

the interesting line is

Für die Steuerung kommen Futabas beste Kreuzknüppel-Segmente ST-51 mit innovativer "Potiless-Technik" zum Einsatz.

which roughly translates "Utilizes Futaba's finest stick assembly with innovative "potless-technique". I ASSUME (Bennie Hill joke) that this means Hall Effect sensors.

Don't know if this innovativer "Potiless-Technik" will ever make it to the USA. Every Hall Effect chip has on the order of +/- 1 % hysteresis in a stick assembly.

"+/- 1 % hysteresis "

It's the nature of the "hall effect" itself...
