Looks like the 613 also in stock. Not the 712.

I am kind of guessing here but I would not be suprised if the 712 was discontinued. Reason being is since JR don't make a 7 channel radio why make a 7 channel receiver? The have 6 and 8 channel radios so I would think there only be a need to make 6 and 8 channels on the receivers. Now this is just speculation on my part. Maybe they will make more of them

I suspect that you are correct on that. The 6 and 8 cover it. I am glad to see something happening.

Ladon,

Have you tried the 812BPX in a helicopter. It looks ideal for a nitro.

No I have not. I have thought about it but never did. I usually use a receiver pack with two input wires into the FBL. I am not sure just the xbus wire would supply enough power alone. Now a guy could make another wire to the FBL to give enough

Well that's funny. I of course meant a flybar heli. But the 812BPX obviously has no use whatsoever in a FBL heli. Good for medium size planes. I would get the 613 for a FBL setup.

While I'd like to upgrade to JR's DMSS....with all this....I think I'm going with the VStabi VControl.

But, I might change my mind depending...

JR is a traditional transmitter. The s/w is adequate for me. The real advantage to getting the XG14 (or I guess 28X) is the very excellent sticks. The RF Link seems to be good - really hopping Zigbee designed for noisy industrial environments. FASST is essentially first generation 802.11 DSSS with 11 bit Barker codes and hopping. I rank JR and Futaba as the best in RF. No talking telemetry. The 613 and 812 are all in one RX's requiring no satellites. The telemetry output has been upped by about 10 dB.

But I can't predict how well this restructuring will go. Buy a bunch of RX's and the TX at the same time.

The VThing feels really cheap but for 3D that may not matter to anyone - game console kids. You are buying a s/w concept - programming the FBL unit from the TX.

The VControl kinda looked that way.....I haven't seen one personally, so I can't tell by the pics of it.

I have really liked my JR12X Tx....the looks, and especially the feel....as well as the reliability.

Well rumor is that the XG14 s/w is really the 12X s/w. Download the manual and see if it looks familiar. 7 point curves. I remember the 12X having 8 for some reason. That's how many would fit on the screen ? The XG11 has the big screen - same as 12X - but plastic sticks. So I prefer the XG14 since you don't fly the screen. But others prefer the XG11.

If not JR, then I would go back to Futaba. I don't trust anything else.

I used to be a Jr fan... started with 9303... progressed to 11X... then made the DMSS jump with XG11... had the XG14 for a year....

I have big hands so 11 series was a natural for me. Have to admit that the XG14 gimbals were smoother BUT I liked the larger screen not to fly with it but to program stuff on it and to monitor the telemetry.....

DMSS really felt connected and for a while I had both 11X and XG11 set up on two Trex 600's... same equipment... same servos... same giro... DIFFERENT feel of both machines...

but then I switched to Jeti.... and never looked back....

I won't buy a Jeti after looking at the FCC test reports.

You just need to fill in the first two lines. They are hidden under some corporate name and I can't find them. You need the FCC number from a transmitter or receiver.

They used to be under Esprit Model but not any more.

I don't have that.....I think....lol

Only have my JR12X....

The gun-metal grey VControl TX and Rx(and will upgrade this Neo) is what I would get....from Mikado USA....when it is in stock....out of stock at the present time.
