I don't know for sure what the exact refresh rates are on the Mikado gyros.
Does anyone know what the cyclic refresh rates are on the mini vbar and the neo. I was told 144hz and 7 m/s but not sure if that's correct. I know you can't change the rates. I'm having issues with certain servos not initializing and was wondering if the rates had anything to do with it.
The 144Hz refresh sounds about right
Center pulse width for a swash servo is always 1520µS (microseconds)
Center pulse width for a tail servo is either 1520µS or 760µS.
I am not sure what "7 m/s" in your post means.
But, 7-something is not correct
And, I don't think refresh rate is your problem.
MSH has an adjustable refresh rate (low=50Hz high=437Hz)
Their default for analog swash servos is 1520µS / 50Hz.
Their default for digital swash servos is 1520µS / 165Hz.
Their default for "Hi-end" digital swash servos is 1520µS / 333Hz.
MSH ran into a problem with servos that took too long to boot up.
I don't remember which servos it was.
My BK BLS-8002HV seem to take forever to boot up.
Rather than force the servo manufacturer to make a change, it was easier for MSH to add some more delay to their gyro's internal initialization before they exercised the servos.
Mikado may not want to update their firmware to help.
You may just need to get different servos.
