AMA Class I

I would like to come fly at your contest, I only have 2 helis. My goblin 770 it what I've been practicing with, I have read the AMA rules and my model is slightly over the weight limit and the voltage. Reading the AMA rules it sounds like the max volts are 10 cells...

I plan on building a dedicated machine but I would kind of like to get one contest under my belt.

14S

Would 14S be frowned upon? I need to order some new batteries so I may just get some 6S packs..

Is there a schedule yet? Just want to know start-end time. Also, if you have F3N, how many rounds? (1 each of set maneuvers, freestyle, and music)

We post the schedule Saturday AM; most pilots arrive Friday to get registered and practice.

Not sure of rounds; depends on number of competitors.

I am planning to come, that way I can visit my mom in Clarksville. Not sure about Friday, have to see if I can move a lesson around. Hopefully the weather clears up.
Oh yeah, what time would you hope to start? Just want to make sure to arrive on time.

Also, dates need to be adjusted on the website

Thanks;

Have not used the website for contest in several years.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THAT FOR ANYTHING! Contest date and location had been described earlier:

"I24, I65 or I40 to TN-840 (loop) - Exit 61 (toward Smyrna) east on TN-266 (W Jefferson Pike). ]
0.9 miles make left on Mona Rd; 0.3 field enter is on the right. The drive way is just BEFORE the LEFT arrow (that's the only landmark). If you got to the golf course, you went too far"

If you pit it: 7192 Mona Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 your GPS; it will get you very close. slightly after passing this church will be a dirt driveway on the right.

We should be starting about 9:00 am Saturday morning.

Thanks for the info, especially the address. I planned to type in the address from the old website, then follow your written directions. Hope to try going to the field Friday on my way to Clarksville to get an idea of where it is.

Good deal. I changed my schedule so I could be free Thursday as well, weather permitting.
Looks like the TS is going to hook and head to TN which explains why the forecast looks bad. Watching weather channel now. Hope it changes directions.

The plan (today) is to still fly.

May not be able to practice much on Friday (Thursday may be a total wash) but will keep an eye on it all.

Cross your fingers; we have not missed a year since starting!

Things may clear out sometime Saturday, but Friday could be messy so I don't plan to travel that day. My plan now is to not go to Clarksville, just come up Saturday or Sunday only and drive back that evening. 8 hours total driving but worth it if the TS Cindy doesn't affect things.
