her Lawyer fee was $84,000 and his was $80,000
When my daughter got her divorce (her husband became abusive and threatening) I was with her at every proceeding. I realized that the attorneys were playing it out for maximum return on their part.
After a few months of this crap, we finally got a independent mediator between the two attorneys and bingo, divorce settled in two or three hours.
My daughter's attorney even charge her $75 for a letter stating he would be out of the office on vacation. The damn letter was not even addressed to her, it was a general letter sent to all his clients. Yes, we got the $75 removed from her bills (tiny amount compared to the final cost).
Attorneys will suggest outrageous demands to they're clients, so that the proceedings will take months or even years.
.
Lets hope Mark has a good attorney who really looks out for Mark's best interest.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

A good start.

What is black and brown, and looks good on an attorney?

Did you hear about the lawyer that fell overboard while on a cruise?

He was last seen circling a school of frightened sharks...

A young shark asks his parents why they circle their victims before attacking?? Response was, "they taste much better when you scare the sh*t out of them first ! "

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Its great that in the example noted above the father got custody of the child. THe F'd up part is he probably had to pay her lawyer fees.
no he didn't have to pay her Lawyer's fee,, she was caught lying many many times to the Judge,

while on the stand she would lie when her Lawyer asked her questions, and then his Lawyer would stand up and prove she flat-out lied, some times when she was caught in a lie she would laugh out loud,

the Judge also made them both see a Psychiatrist separately, the Psychiatrist first made them both fill out a 500 question questioner. I told my friend 2 things, the questioner was designed to catch him in a lie so answer every question honestly no matter what it asked, 2) you know she will lie and they will see that in the questioner,

she had a few of her friends stand up for her in court, well in the end they turned on her because they found out she was lying about things,

my friend said that his Lawyer told him the Judge couldn't do much about her lying because he knew/and had proof from a doctor that she was bipolar,,,

so the Judge found for my friend,, his daughter is 18y.o. today

but as I said, for the next 8 years she took him to court twice a year to get custody (she wanted the child support), she lost every time,

so the whole thing lasted 12 years

What's the definition of a tragedy...? A bus full of lawyers going over a cliff with two empty seats.

We might be getting a little off the subject. I would love to see this site continue. I made the below suggestion in another thread that hopefully might be the answer to keep this site going.
From Mark:
I have considered expanding beyond Heli's to other RC interests but I think it's too late to chase this with the likes of Facebook and all the other established RC sites out there.
Mark, thanks for the reply. I know most members would love to come up with something to keep this site going.
We fully understand your situation.
I think most would entertain the thought of paying a fee to access this site. I know I wouldn't mind. I have talked to others who feel the same way.
So before you "throw in the towel", and if your willing, let's try to come up with a plan to keep the site going.
Thanks, Dennis
PS: I would also like to see a section on RC Airplanes, FWIW.

When you place an order with your favorite heli supplier, ask them to advertise on the original heli site, RunRyder!
It's an easy thing to do and it's free.
