Went out to the field this evening to play with the mobius camera I just got. video is a bit lengthy, I flew the whole battery at 1150rpms. 12s/4350 flown to 3600mah used via telemetry capacity alert. not very smooth due to wind, but good test of the camera at least

Hey Gary,

Just for reference, what is the approximate weight of your stretched E5?

Thanks

Marco

roughly 9.75 lbs. 4.45kg
I use a lighter weight motor than most, a little HV80 ESC , lighter weight servos that are actually for cars (saves roughly an ounce per servo), and lighter weight batteries. No rx battery, use a castle BEC. The 4350 cells have the highest energy density in the flightpower line in the capacity range that is appropriate. With the currents I draw, I could use an HV60 ESC and save a few more grams, but the machine would be tailheavy. I'm a bit picky about weight

Freakin awesome, That was very impressive and the setup is nice. My Logo 600se V2 is setup nicely as well....
Scorpion 4035-560kv motor
Edge 100amp esc
Savoy 1257 and 58 servos
WR Because
7s TP packs....I can get roughly 10 min, nothing as graceful as your flight but I'm considering going 8s for a little longer flight time.

The logo is a nice lightweight machine. when I sold all my thunder tiger stuff a couple years ago and looked around, my short list boiled down to the logo and stretched synergy E5. I had one of the first logo 600's in the country years ago and liked it, but wanted something different, large tail output shaft, ability to spin the tail up, and good parts support. I like Ralf, but he's changed distribution multiple times, and with Synergy, parts are never an issue. Matt and Amy are great folks too, and I like that they're based in this country. Your 7S setup must be very light. i prefer high voltage setups due to the efficiency, but it's difficult because the needed gearing for LHS is way out of the norm, hence the rewound, lower KV motor. There are a couple other motors available near this KV, but of course they're big, heavy, and have high IO's, so not very efficient at the lower power levels.
I've been asked "why 12S?", and the response is "Because I can't go 13"
