Moving from 415kv to 295 for correct head speed etc on a lama. I was using an actor with 8mm shaft and now installing a kde with 8 mm shaft. However the shaft on kde is atleast an inch longer. Can I use a mini hack saw to cut the extra length ?

I used this method before and it worked fine.
Ian over at SRCH uses a latex glove (the cheap disposable ones used in medicine or for cleaning) and simply gets the main shaft to protrude from the glove.
I will use this the next time I have to cut the shaft...

You could also just pull the "E" clip and remove the shaft for cutting?
I've done this on KDE motors.. pretty easy.
