OK I've got a ff8 futaba radio and have got a frsky 2.4 module to go in it to convert the tx to 2.4,
the frsky receiver works great,

Here's my question , can I use any accst reciever by futaba or other manufacturers for that matter with the frsky module in my ff8 ?

Cheers in advance

Cheers for your answer, one more question.
So I'm guessing I need to pick a new receiver which is a 'accst' Which is what I think frysty use ?

Are there other forms of accst which might not work though?

I'm not familiar with Frsky receiver designations, only Futaba.

For telemetry, you'll need a "D" series FrSky receiver for the FrSky module in your Futaba transmitter.

From Aloft Hobbies:
D Series: (Telemetry receivers)
D8R, D8R-II, D8RSP, D6FR, D4FR
The D series are an older offering from FrSky, they do not support many sensors anymore and will bind in D8 mode. These receivers are ideal if you are using a FrSky DFT, DJT or DHT module in your radio.
And this, regarding "D" receivers:
Compatible with all FrSky transmitters (bind in D8 mode) and also the D series modules like the DFT, DJT, DHT and the DHT-U. Sadly this line is shrinking and there are few sensors left that will work with these receivers. Also, these units are limited to 8 channels.
If you didn't want telemetry, you could use a "V8" receiver:
V8 Series: (Non-telemetry receivers)
V8FR-HV, V8R7-HV, V8R7-SP, V8R4

You may just want to get a receiver with telemetry, even if you don't want it, now. If you go all in with FrSky, you can have the transmitter spit out the voltage of onboard batteries and other useful information.
