The drifting I see on the Raptor is perfectly normal ....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

It does the same in the air and does not lock in while in HH mode so even with no wind the helis tail moves unlike the trex450 and hawk. The trex450 tail is locked in while in a hover and the pro with the exact same setup as the raptor is locked in while in a hover too. The raptor is not...I get what you all are saying but I get absolutely no creep with the hawk or with other hawk setups I have had.

The servo drifting while on the bench like the video shows is not a problem at all and is probably unrelated to the drift in the air.

The drift in the air sounds a whole lot like the gain is too low, or that you are in rate mode instead of HH mode. Although your video mostly confirms that you are in HH mode. Have you tried to switch into Rate mode on the gyro to see if the drift on the bench stops? It should not drift in Rate mode.

Have you checked the gain channel on the monitor screen? Have you checked that the gain lead to the gyro is connected to the right channel from the receiver? Have you checked that the gain wire is plugged in the right orientation? (The single wire lead on the same side as all the other signal wires.) Guess how I know to check that one.

One fairly easy way to check that the gain is all connected and working while on the bench is: Hold the tail so that your fingers can feel the tail slider movement. Move the tail back and forth, maybe 10 inches. You should feel the slider move to correct for the movement you just made. Change the gain dramatically higher and lower. You should be able to feel the difference between high and low gain values - more movement of the slider for high gain values, less movement for lower gain values.

I have the setup the same as the other GY401/9254 setup I have, I even sat down at the kitchen table the other day and look over all the menu items. As far as gain I have it set to 75% on a XP7202 which is the same as a DX7. Rate mode there is no creeping with the servo. Gain channel is selected correct on the radio and the orientation is correct.

I will clear everything again in the radio and redo the wires again just for the hell of it and see.

The devil is in the details (video)

To be clear are we talking about Logitech or LogiCtech? Two different products.

IF Logitech 6100T (not visible in video) you are not using their "exclusive" LTS6000G servo which uses 960µs center pulse lenght and meant for that gyro.

Unless you can change the gyro servo setting to use 1520µs (doubt it), the drift will never go away and I'm surprised you havent burned the S9254 servo....yet.

You "may" get away with using a Futaba S9256 servo with 760µs which is exclusive to their 601 gyro BUT drift is also possible and it's just cheaper to buy a used FBL to be used as a tail gyro only until you go flybarless.

Mine says Logictech as I titled and a few post up I mentioned I switched everything over to a GY401/9254 combo as I have in my hawk pro. So that is why you do not see the Logictech in the video.

Here is the logictech I have. I always thought Logitech was computer accessories.

I thought we were still troubleshooting the first post.

I take it the 401 and 9254 worked well in the Hawk?

Only thing left to do is to create a new model in radio versus clearing the existing model.

If it still persist, then your Raptor is officially cursed.
Did you buy it in Haiti?

Already created a new model as you suggested earlier. The GY401 combo is new so I have not tried in another heli.

I switched everything over to a GY401/9254 combo as I have in my hawk pro
Ok, so the Hawk has a GY401-9254 combo and it does not drift.

Since the combo on the Hawk does not drift, simply swap their servo leads.

So connect Raptor servo to gyro on Hawk and servo on Hawk to Raptor gyro. No need to physically swap servos. Im sure servo leads are long enought for such.

If the drift goes to the Hawk, it's the gyro on the Raptor

If the drift stays with the Raptor, it's the servo on Raptor.
The GY401 combo is new so I have not tried in another heli.
New as in never been used or new to you?

Edited...Corrected drift statement.

I actually did what you just mentioned about 5 min prior to reading your post and the servo is locked in now on the raptor connecting the raptor servo to the hawk gyro. So yeah it is the gyro. Yes the gyro was new in the box or at least looked liked it. The tail servo still had everything in the plastic.
