Why is it so hard for millenials in retail customer service to use the words please and thank you during the transaction?

It's so rare do I ever get a thank you after handing over my hard earned money to pay for the item which provides their pay check.

APPRECIATE YOUR CUSTOMERS....VERBALLY.

...at the end of most exchanges they make ME feel like they did me a favor.

Because most of the latest gen millennials cant put together in their head that your money pays their wages Any they dont care anyways, they are entitled to the money they are being given. Right?
