After lining up the tail linkage with good travel limits, the tail starts to drift to left turn slowly if leaving it alone one ground or in the air. Tail gain is set to about 30% on Futaba Tx. Does anyone know why?

Setup Menu

Did you set the correct LED lights color codes for the type of servos you have? Did you setup switching for the tail normal or heading hold mode? Which menu 'letter' does the 30% gain light up on the Microbeast? In normal and heading hold?

All of these are in the manual and you would have to set it up to initial settings before you proceed.

When the BeastX is initialised and ready to fly what colour is the status LED? It should be blue for Heading hold. If it's purple your in rate mode. You may need to use a negative figure for the gain so -30 instead of 30.

I THINK 0 to -100 is the gain adjust for Rate mode and 0 to 100 is the gain adjust for Heading Hold so you might need to reverse your gain adjust channel (5?) OR use negative figures to adjust Heading Hold gain. Sorry im Spektrum so not sure about Futaba.

Sharing my settings Futaba 14SG Microbeast PLUS

Just in case you were interested. This is an Align Dominator TRex 550L Super Combo. There is no 'gyro gain' per se in the transmitter. I had to assign the gear channel for the tail gyro and the 'SF' switch function to select normal and HH mode. On the screen, the endpoints can then be changed to achieve a corresponding change in the letter LED on the FBL unit. They are not always the same. In my case, normal purple is 90 while HH blue is 95 to get an 'M' for both. There is no 'negative' value on the Futaba.

Revisit the following two settings:

DRIFTING (last paragraph)

Last sentence of last paragraph states;

For optimum performance it is nevertheless recommended to perform the mechanical adjustment as good as possible.

While mechanical setup is important for optimal performance for max achievable gain, stopping performance in both directions and piro gain it isn't important for simply having a drift free tail in HH mode. The gyro doesn't care where it needs to move the servo to to stop the helicopter rotating in HH mode.
