I've tried contacting them a couple of times and the hold times are atrocious. Even tried leaving a callback number only to get no callback.

Any of you guys had a similar situation with them?

Try them again. I wouldn't get too worked up over a single call that wasn't returned. They may have just been short handed when you called or have been forced to cut back. They have always been top notch.

It's just one call, as was mentioned.

They're pretty good from my experience.

Keep calling back....it's toll free.

I called them twice, first was a couple of weeks ago. Was on hold for about 40 minutes, then entered my number for a call back....no call back.

Called them again this morning...held it on speakerphone for 45 minutes and no one person picked up. Even selected the Plank option in that they may have someone more available ....nothing but crickets.

I have not had to call their support in a number of years. Mark Padilla use to be a tech guy who worked on the helicopter side and his service was top notch back in the day. Not sure if he is still there or moved on.

I was simply wanting to inquire about my DX8 in that I changed the battery from the stock Nimh to a Lipo but in the System Settings menu, it will not give the option to select lipo. Weird..just scrolls right over it. Not sure if I can just plug in the new lipo and it will auto detect it and set it. Talk elsewhere suggests manually selecting the option 'lipo'.

I have the DX8 and lipo setup. Once you plug the lipo in the option is available, but as I recall, it is not manual. All it really did was change the scale on the power meter of main screen.

Horizon it one of the top places you can it support from
Was on hold for about 40 minutes
waiting 40 minutes, why, you should have cut the call in 5 or 10 minutes and then call again 5 or 10 minutes after you cut the call !!

Don't know about Horizon but many places called for support that put you "on hold" answer the calls in order received .... so , if you hang up and call again you go back to the end of the waiting list .....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

I have always gave them my number on the first request and have always gotten a call back within a half hour. Staying on the line for a half hour on hold is a complete waste of time.

Op is just reporting his recent experience. If he can be on hold while doing something else, curiosity would get me on not hanging up to see what will happen. Companies change, sometimes employees are sick or on vacation, sometimes they quit and need time to be replaced and sometimes.... companies decide to decrease staffing at the expense of the customer. Is this a sign that doing business may be different going forward? Something a forum should be good for figuring out. Hopefully more people that have recent call experience will chime in.

I sent a warranty request for a missing part using the contact support dialog on the Horizon web site.I received an email reply about a week later. The service support for warranty and tech support links are at the bottom of the page.

I Agree start a service request, they have always provided me with over the top customer service. They will get back to you! as previously said some times the phone lines get really backed up. they are a Global company taking calls from all over the world.
they provide support to all callers, that takes a lot of time...
be patient they will take care of you.
