No never heard of that lol

That video had me rolling. Especially the part about spinning the blades by hand first...

I used to do that on my e550 years ago..

Yeah Josh

Don't use "normal" mode.

I'm thinking there was something about that in the ikon manual...or somewhere
Saying that it needs a constant speed to hold properly.

Wow interesting. I guess I better read Thru that thing. I did see some governor modes set up in there. Three stages by the looks of it.
I'll stick with idle up and maybe we should be ok.

Have you guys seen that bobble I'm talking about before ?

You know how as you first spool up on concrete there's a short time where the tail even at full manual deflection can not counter the torque?

That is the gist of it. In normal mode you might get airborne with 1300 rpm but your idle up is 2000. So at 2k you have 100% tail authority (mechanically), but at 1300 you have 60% so as you're hovering at 1300 +/- some rpms the gyro gain is hovering between enough and not enough.

I'm guessing your normal mode throttle curve is like the top. If you really like normal mode use a curve like the bottom so your rpm is a little higher a little sooner, and a little flatter where you are in the air.

ok. Ill play with the throttle curve. And yep, Its linear like the top pic. Im thinking seriously about dropping this model off at the LHS on consignment tomorrow and picking up that G380. Love my G770. cant imagine I'll feel any different about the 380. for me the visibility alone makes it worth it. Much newer nicer machine IMO too. It comes BNF, I'll just need to set up the beatx to my radio. It has lipos with it, meaning I'll have like 7 lipos for than thing! That aught to get me some back yard stick time !

I love all helis.

But you can have my Goblin when you pry it from my cold dead hands.

From the first flight I was in love,
Visibility, performance, and such precision that it felt like a sim.

Heliraptor nailed the bobbing. Or nodding, whatever you call it. Head speed in stunt one and two killed it. Flattened right out. Running well. I do have it up for sale infact now that it's flying right. I got interested in that little sab to run my
Smaller lipos. So I figured I'd make some room on the shelf.

Thank you again for the help guys. See you around the bend
