Can I use FBL blades on a flybar head? What's the difference? Reason for asking is FBL blades are easier to obtain.

I just entered this in the RunRyder Search feature: "flybarless blades on flybar" and got a lot of hits. To answer your first question, yes, you can.

The CG is further out on flybarless blades for stability. You can use FBL blades on a flybar heli no problem but they will recover slower due to the outboard CG.

very true... but unless youre flying good/fast 3D... you will likely not be able to tell the difference.

I just fly big air and mild 3D... as long as the cyclic and collective response is capabe of doing more than I can... it works for me.
I have tried FBL blades on a FB heli and visa versa... FBL blades seem to work best in either model.

With FBL systems, you can tune the head (heli) to respond in just about any way you desire...

Your FB heli is limited to what you can do in the TX and the mechanical adjustments in the main rotor.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Good to know

Thanks for the answers and explanations guys. Nice to know these things. I would have been satisfied with yes or no. The explanations are a bonus.
