I have a t rex 700 helibug convertion g 23 with 900 carb
I have a mutigov pro on it with sensor reading off of clutch bell doesnt seem to work right it seems like its working then revs up like its off the governer not sure what to do

The "rule of thumb " is to do All of your tuning WITHOUT the governor engaged and then once things are right, tune your governor.....

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

I'll add that many govs have a setpoint that determines when the gov engages and disengages... if that point is never reached the gov will not engage (or disengage) and will just use throttle curves instead (which is why you setup without the gov on first).

some govs like the old GV-1 for example even had minimum "hover" setpoints within the hidden menu that could be higher than the minimum engagement speed(or throttle position. This was a big problem in gassers and unless you changed these settings in the hidden menu in a GV-1 it wouldn't work well for a gasser.

you should also double check that the sensor is being picked up reliably... a sensor that cant pick up the magnet while running will tell the gov to apply throttle until it reaches max, causing a WOT situation.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

Keep it simple

K.I.S.S - program curves and listen to the engine speed under load to adjust your throttle

the governor step can and has been skipped.

if im not blade bogging youll find me pack puffing
