It's my first attempt at anything scale as I always flew pod and boom, but always wanted to try scale.

It came painted, I only had to install the mechanics and glue the tail fin together. I know the next one will be more complicated because I think I'm hooked

I made a mistake once, but I was wrong?

THE "DARK" SIDE!!!

Welcome to the world of scale
tommytt1

Good looking first scaler... what size is it and what mechanics?? We need to know this "stuff"

Nice job.. make sure the top of the mechanics are secured to the top of the fuselage and check your CG... other then those couple of tips, you should be good to go!!!
Good looking ride..

It's a Mini Titan E325 (450) hitec servo's, gy401 gyro stock TT motor and speed control. The mechanics aren't really made for the fusalage but it's in securely with all clearances good. CG is a little tail heavy but not much and a little sub trim worked.
Test hover and a little forward flight, man it looks good! . Thanks Doorman

I got the fusalage from Tintmaster and want to thank him.

Looks great Tom. I love the MD 500, I'm working on rebuilding mine as I type. It is definitely addicting as I've already ordered a EC-135 for the trex 450 mechanics with a 4 blade head,

Thanks Ant, Ace Dude and Copter Doctor.

Ant, we'll get together one of these days. You doing Your MD in nitro or electric. If I remember, it was 90 size. Curious with your EC 135 also.

Thanks guys.

I was out flying it today and got a vibe in the upper canopy. I scrapped flying it for the rest of the day and think I fixed it by using silicone RTV to make standoffs between the two front cyclic servo's and the canopy. We'll see when it's dry tomorrow if it worked.

Upper Fuselage Vibes

If the silicone cures the vibes that will be great... but (theres always a but!!) If it doesn't, you will need to make brackets that you can bolt the fuselage top to the mechanics...
I still have a TT 450 in their Cobra fuselage... still have fun with it!!

Thanks Mojave, I needed an intervention with RC in general for a long time.

Doorman, I'm kind winging it and most likely will have to go the bracket route. I'm glad the first attempt is giving me some problems and making me work for it. This way the next one I'll come with some knowledge.

As everyone else has said, "Welcome to the Dark side" You can't beat scale Heli's and your first attempt is not bad at all. No doubt you will find plenty of help on here to get it all smoothed out and then you'll be moving onto your next one.

There is no escape now lol
