Our Military has accomplished some pretty impressive things with drones! Now the manufactures of drone technology is hitting the non Military sector. Probably why several companies has given up on the "personal drone" market.

I don't believe the military suppliers can compete in the retail market.

Exactly, but they came up with "civilian" versions to make a few more $$$$$

Sometimes I find it unbelieveable what I can do with my personal RC equipment. I can only imagine what the Military has.

But I believe it's the same company, or a sister company that makes electronics for the public.

Like the radar detectors. They made them for the police, the everyday civilian, and they were also involved with government contracts. Same company was doing it all.

This happens a lot in industry, they just take a few components out and put another label on the product.

The problem is going to be all the over-regulation. For this to "fly" in this country, all the UPS drivers will need remote pilot certificates (part 107), they'll have to remain line of sight with the quad/drone, and in many areas they'll have to be communicating with ATC. If they grant widespread exemptions for things like this, it would destroy the legitimacy of the faa regs and I don't think they'll do that.

There is several people around the World experimenting with "Personal Drones",some are for 2 people, some are for 1 person.

If these ever become realistic in the World of today, well somebody is going to have a tough job!

I know I would love to own one. But just like regular drones, they only have about 30 minutes flight time. And I am sure the batteries are a "little" costly as well.

Think they still have a few things to iron out yet and they certainly would not have any chance in the storm we have had today.

meanwhile, back in the ol US of A, we are arguing over which bathroom anyone can use.

It is time we put our foot forward instead of in our mouths.
