Ok Guys, I got the heads up on the tittle tattle I had come across and it was indeed referring to JR propo as Iyoy's link points to. Seems the world market for RC has thinned out enough for them to be unable to compete on an economic footing so it looks like they are going to concentrate their efforts on industrial stuff. I guess all of us, me included who bought into the short lived Chinese helis took enough market share to damage their bottom line where Hobby rc is concerned. Hirobo and Thunder Tiger and a whole host of other manufacturers too if the truth be told. Oh well things come, things go and life carries on I suppose and for those of us who don't need the latest and greatest - plenty of bargains second hand. It really tickles me when people refer to Rappy's and Sceadu evo's as old school or vintage, vintage I ask you. Unless you have ambitions to be a top 3D hot dogger what more do you want for ripping up the strip and a few rolls and loops thrown in for good measure and all for the cost of repairing a dumb thumb heavy arrival with a full bodied hyper agile 6 or 700. Yup, think I will stick with the vintage, old school, flybarred bargains meself. Oh, on 35 mhz as well since that band is quiet as hell around here..

"35 mhz as well since that band is quiet as hell around here.."

35Mhz?.....that's "horse and buggy" stuff....lol

I wouldn't be sure on how quiet it is...do you have some sort of freq. monitor, at least?

Some knucklehead could "shoot" you down.

Horse and buggy stuff eh. Seems like only yesterday it was the dogs danglies and strangely enough it hasn't been turned off and still works. I guess I would have to be very unlucky to have someone have reason enough to want to scan through all the 35 MHz frequencies with a synthesized module, have a box of xtals to hand and want to keep swapping them until they get a result or just turn up with another 35 MHz TX on the same frequency. Switching on the latter without doing the customary checks being a bad idea since I still stick the peg board out just to make a point. I'll risk it

Wouldn't it be great if people just bought quality over quantity, problem is they generally won't. Take the airlines as an example. People constantly complain about cramped conditions on low cost carriers but will still buy cheap tickets.

New people in the hobby generally wouldn't know a good brand from a mediocre one and will buy the "best value" deal they can. They usually see themselves as future hot shots as well so need the newest coolest gear.

I've said it a million times but I really believe FBL is the most overrated technology we have seen for a very long time. It can be nice in some models, scale, multi-blade, but otherwise largely unnecessary for most modellers.

I have used BeastX, VBar and JR Tags 01 and Tags Mini units and find the Tags01 has the most natural. That said I still prefer my flybarred Hirobo Freya by a long shot as the nicest most natural and predictable feeling helicopter I own. It flys like a helicopter not a stabilised robot, I like and expect that.

Support the good honest trusted brands, Hirobo, JR, Min Air, Bergen, Synergy, Minicopter.

Don't get caught up in hype (reason I didn't put Mikado in the list above is because of their constant annoying self hype. Advertisements with transmitters held above head champion style. These are toy helicopters??)

Relentless 3d hype (w@nk) has built this hobby up and eventually sent it crashing down.

Less is more. Have one or two great helicopters, not six mediocre helis.

Futaba T18SZ, JR Propo XG14, Hirobo fanatic!

OK I got the wrong info, but funny how when the goblin came out we got abandoned on the N2. I love the N2 and now it is just about a hanger queen for me because there are no parts for it. That left a bitter taste in my mouth as you can tell by going over to the outrage thread. Whoever this "Charlie" is has no backbone as far as I am concerned. I have called him everything but a white man with no response.......AND THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!

Charlie was the designer of the outrage. He worked for the company that made them. That company was the one that pulled the plug on the Heli not him. That was basically what happened on the outrage. Look helis come and go along with other products in this hobby. I also don't like it either when one disappears that I like but a person needs to move on. Goblin is a fine Heli nothing wrong with them other than they are everywhere now

Although Hobby People did not support the high end helicopter market, they were the source for Airtronics radio equipment and service. They provided some of the best lipo batteries on the market as well. Their main bread and butter was the r/c car industry.

Read their new announcement here...

http://www.hobbypeople.net

I believe they are closing 27 physical brick and mortar hobby shops.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

"Charlie"

All true.

What I meant was...Fusuno, heli canopy manufacturers in VN, makes pretty good canopies. They will make a custom paint schemes for anyone as an option.

They started with small heli canopies...and now all sizes.

For some reason, while others are having issues, these guys are "humping it".

Just don't order over their "lunar newyear"....the whole country shuts down for a month....lol
