i have a question= 780mm blades on a flybarless head, rpm on lift off, 1650 +or- 50 rpm,s when you land the hole helicopter shake,s like out of balance at the 1000rpm mark, so is that lead and lag, its not a balance problem as both blades are 99% to each other. so i have a small tension wrench, 5nm to 20nm (15 in lbs to 150 in lbs. i will start at 25 in lbs on both 5mm blade bolts to see if this stop,s this out of balance when powering down. any help with this would be great.

How I've checked my blades fir proper tightness is,I hold the helicopter by its head with blades out to your left and right and the boom parallel to the ground. I hold it to make sure they don't sag and if so,I snug the blade bolts until they don't droop down or move. I hope this helps....

He means he holds the helicopter on its side. The blades will just barely hold their position. You can probably not set the tension with a torque wrench. I tighten the blade bolts as I move the blades in the grips by hand. Be sure to get them the same. It is not always the same torque on the bolts to put the same amount of drag on the blades.
Most likely it is not a lead/lag problem, it is that both blades grips are not the same amount of clamping force.

thank you to both of you, and yes you are both right about the bolts, as this happened two days ago at our club when i did a demo for the club members and after i put the turbine down and cut the engine power the model looked very nasty as the blades slowed down. so i have done what both of you have said thank you, regards ivor, down under.
