it's all fun and games until some one looses an,

extremely fortunate to not have,

Sometimes we engage in things of risk seemingly harmless at the time and not unlike those who doubted what was transpiring back at the turn of the past century convincing people of something impending took years and sometimes disaster to wake them up, yeah, that's how it just IS sometimes.

Quitting coffee came to me ten or more years ago but I never took it seriously, caffiene is ADDICTIVE.

Now how many guys went to the Ti nut and bolt site? My Shuttle is converted to ALL titanium and aluminum, ALL.

upon reading the desperate replies saying that Gustave DID NOT SELL the Wrights an engine I admit that to be the case. There were so many crackpots wanting to get a piece of the action in the new tech field when you read the article you get a sense that good intentions are derailed by those who have short term devices in mind.

so if I stand to be corrected on the Wrights requiring a GW motor then so be it, my apologies to the GW estate.

never did
I swapped ALL the steel parts for titanium at a high cost btw and saw only a 2oz weight savings. Translated for about $300 in hardware only 5% was less all up 700 weight over stock steel. I since returned the steel back to the heli and could not notice a significant and or obvious difference by feel
I will tell you a way how to feel a "better" difference in flight and it will cost you (maybe less than) half of what your $300 Titanium Parts cost you,

it's simple, buy Higher Quality, Higher Tolerance Bearings for all fully Rotating Parts, Clutch Bell, Main Shaft, and Tail Output Shaft and all Gears and T-Tube,
just because you have good bearings doesn't mean much, Higher Quality Higher Tolerance Bearings smooths out the shafts and also puts more power to the Main Head, it is noticeable,

no need for parts like Bellcranks, but they would help on the Grips

gearhead, your quite right about the higher grade bearing set making a difference beyond weight, so too would a more efficient blade and I was about to say drive train, that's where bearings come in. Even skateboarders can feel the difference between an abec 7 and less when they put a board under foot. With a high precision machine a good high tolerance bearing does vibrate less.

It's amazing how much you can spend on a rc heli of 550 and up. Titanium hardware not only looks cool and saves very marginal amounts of weight, they are waterproof and will never rust. Did you know ti can be anodized in COLOR? go to the site and see for your self.
