after reading the entire article it would lead one to believe Mr Whitehead was the first to invent the multi rotor "Helicopter" as well. Go to about three quarters down the article to view a pic of his multi invention made after the wright bros pulled some bad boy winged aircraft politics on Gustave in the USA.

http://www.gustave-whitehead.com/

The Germans invented, "Mercanos" re-invented by foolery and manipulation, the Wright bros uncool pricks who lowered themselves to theft and threats, claim jumping and arm bending to get their way, wonderful to see the article declare this type of behavior to show everyone who they really were.

btw, the drawing of the symmetrical foil over a pictured patent for a wing airfoil is nothing other than the plan for Gutave's flying craft body as you will see penciled airflow at the trailing end is even on both sides as if to depict a foil moving through air in a straight line around it.

I'm running this as a separate topic because the op of the original topic has me on ignore, and they ignored Gustave too so why should I be surprised, In several ways I've been decades ahead of the "norm" much like Gustave but you don't know that.

And for all you doubters how about a certain Align 700dfc I own, I swapped ALL the steel parts for titanium at a high cost btw and saw only a 2oz weight savings. Translated for about $300 in hardware only 5% was less all up 700 weight over stock steel. I since returned the steel back to the heli and could not notice a significant and or obvious difference by feel, it wasn't worth the money but it was slick looking. I've been converting all my helis to ti for about two years now (bicycles for the better part of 20), and that mod is a tip of the iceberg of what has evolved from my involvement with rc helis so go home and eat crow as it were. ENGINEERING IS PRIME while respecting the materials and economy of a project, yes I was "FIRST" but my horn isn't blowing on every site "LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME" 'cause most of you are bumblers and some are sharp shooters who know how to pick off others for their "original" ideas like what the Wright bros did with Gustave, my Shuttle 550 is all ti, it isn't perfect however due to ti's springyness but it does work in specific places, their are other less costly and better engineered options now making more impact in the interest that have surpassed high price ti. I was into making my own molded frame custom lightweight racing bicycle a way back in the very early 80's, ohh the stories I could tell, and made my own mountain bike before anyone had even heard of them up in my parts (one month on the scene in California and discovered via skateboarding magazine article so I made my own because I had lots of places to ride one, lots). My more recent mountain bikes as of the past 20 years have been all ti fastener equipped btf'nw, dued.

another thorn in the crown on the head of Heyzues.

last week I could have been blinded in one eye because I accidentally walked into the trailing outer tip of a 700 blade thereby receiving a cm long cut 1" below my right eye, manufacturers you are liable for the sharp tip without a warning posted, round blade tips work so much better and more efficiently besides, but the commoners scream sharp tips and the manufacturers cave,

pricks.

me? I'm nobody, move along nothing to see,

show me the jamage.

I'll give you this as long as you tell this guy who sent you,
http://www.torontocycles.com/

supplier to myself and Takumi and many other buyers of very EXPENSIVE fasteners, ti= 10x's the price of steel so better beware.

and MOST PECULIAR thing about the blade trailing edge tip, just a couple of minutes before I walked into the one I had I was thinking that the trailing edge tips of common rc heli manufacture were dangerous, too sharp, and should not look and be so pointed like a metal blade tip where a person could loose an eye perhaps. If I were to manufacture blades for these helis "that" would not be a feature found on my designs for the reasons I suffered moments later with the Align one (the heli was sitting high enough in the middle of a floor space and I was making room to move it when I crouched slightly while walking past the extended blade very near my exit pathway, much too close for comfort as a momentary lapse of memory occurred regarding it's presence there, I was grieved seriously for the next half hour after the initial impact as a result, very very disturbing folks, I can show you the cut later). The heli was moved from near eye level out of my walkways. Spacial awareness was compromised shortly before the moment of impact.

Are you saying.. you had the blades spinning inside a room... why were you even CLOSE enough to put yourself in harms way?

yep.. by far the best read of the day.

you had the blades spinning inside a room
not even remotely possible without a lipo and particular electronics vital to what then would be contact with the LEADING tip edge, no, I made contact walking into the extended blade's trailing pointed tip as the heli was set in a static display mode, only the blade's tip extended into my pathway slightly though enough to do harm.

spooling up a 700 in close quarters is next to suicide.

Don't forget the "contract" the Wrights struck with the Smithsonian before they would let the Smithsonian display their craft.

The required the Smithsonian to disavow any one else as being the "first to fly".

might sound far fetched, why is it mall copter blades all have "sharp objects" warnings printed onto their blades?

It would take a history of seeing medical help to prove damage was done and remedy was lengthy in scope of intensity. Then a case would have to be filed on their grounds in the country of origin,

proving blade was
slightly though enough to do harm.
on the first impression approached from behind the blade IS dangerous for all the reasons mentioned, in static display. This is what makes the difference between what is assumed as normal operational dangers and the un-foreseen one of approach from behind. Cyclone blades are even more pointed and more sharp than Aligns blades. any waivers posted in/on literature and packaging does NOT cover the trailing edge specified as additionally dangerous when not in use.

My accident was a fluke event, disturbing, upsetting, unwelcome, but it was a wake up call to avoid situations where near eye level storage had blades extending into pathways where the heli can be encircled and protrusions made contact with. That or invent a safety solution for transport and storage under any circumstance. Still doesn't take manufacturers off the hook in a disastrous event, you see, people can buy all sorts of things that are dangerous when used normally but legally that has to be protected against by waiver declaring any and all use of the product assumes harm great or small due to potential contact with "sharp objects" as not the responsibility of the manufacturer due to said warning labeling to the fact PRINTED ON THE BLADE.

Did you know that if you take all of the letters in 'icanfly', rearrange them all and then take away some and add some you get 'runningwithscissors'

It totally makes sense now...

The Whitehead conspiracy again? Second time in a week.

I wont repeat all I wrote last time:
https://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/...1/?p=6639904#RR

Of course a book written by Whitehead supporters backs him. Problem is there is no independently verifiable proof. There IS proof of the Wright's flight.

For all we know somebody else did it before either one of them. Maybe somebody invented a plane in the middle ages. Any maybe space aliens founded ancient Rome.

But if they didn't document with 3rd party verified proof then it doesn't count. sorry.

this topic was run separately from the other on the Gustave topic because I could not reply due a certain "ignore" held by the topic op. I decided to throw the other topics in for good measure because they are linked to a theme.

Now see that the Wright bros didn't claim themselves to be the originator of powered flight and actually depended on a tried and true field proven Whitehead motor to power their craft, they had the Smithsonian family declare publicly out of pressure the Wrights were first, "or else" corroborating a perpetuated lie, the Wrights sealing the deal by pursuing legal means to stifle the originator "or else". The article claims that after #21 all the Whitehead craft were lost to outsiders, they collectively conspired to rob mr Whitehead of not only his right and claim but also his pride at a time the Germans were perceived as a threatening entity to European peace, so why help them with claims of superior thought and engineering, it was also a matter of national pride you should know.

People are animals and funny you should bring up Rome, who once slaughtered 3500 animals in one day at the Roman Colosseum, why it smells like a grave yard to this day if you think of all the blood soaked earth it is situated on (protein). I saw a short travel documentary on Rome last night with some info of the goings on there during the gladiator days.

Regarding the "alien" aspect we no longer live in a world of suppositions, and I do abhor how the general youtube and net info does nothing to substantiate fact but more so MOCKS the little truth we dare to trust in, nothing you can believe until it hits you in the face, More so the little absolute truth available is ruined by all the posturing and click bait lies deceit and fraud, that's the price of freedom, bullshyters. There's enough info on the science behind technologies, whether governments are willing to allow individuals to develop new age processes is always dependent on how much money they can make from it and of course nothing can be attributed to German invention no never. In the meantime pass advanced tech off as uneconomical, wunderlust, quackery, and fake as long as possible. Do we not live in a world where greed trumps reason and honor? Destruction over creation? war over peace? as long as this is the way of the day live by the sword die by the sword, without invention and creation there's is not even destruction, who rules now?

GET IT?

great segue, I quit coffee as of Monday after several months of 3 or 4 cups a day, years of chronic consumption, and had a sense to abstain from it beginning of the year. I was slow to act upon the impulse, caffiene build up perhaps one of the additive culprits in my accident. Feeling much more clear headed now thanks. To help knock off caffiene addiction it has been replaced with a super juice ORANGE JUICE, cranberry, and milk alternately, feeling more alert and positive than ever.

It should be noted my sleep the night before consisted of only 4 hours perhaps a result of the caffiene fix that kept me awake late into the night before.

Caffiene is a psychoactive DRUG.

deductive reasoning, the Wrights would not have flown if not for the Whitehead flight perfected motor sold to them by the master aviator of nearly a decade before the Wrights. Peculiar, do you know of ANY Wright Bros named and or honored aircraft flying today? not a one huh.
