JohnATaylor rrNovice Silver Spring, Maryland, USA | https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_sta...ation_deletion/Given that the registry was unlawful in the first place, I believe it is not appropriate or lawful for them to require people to "certify" before they can get the unlawfully-obtained information deleted. My guess is that the FAA is trying to stall, regardless of the law, while waiting for Congress to give them authority.I doubt many of those who registered will even learn of this process. Also, since the court vacated the registration regulation regarding model aircraft, the registry should no longer exist for model aircraft. Period. At least for now.

JohnATaylor rrNovice Silver Spring, Maryland, USA | I corrected the link.I certainly don't fault anyone for registering.Given what Congress is doing, I suspect they'll authorize registration. At least then it will be done by our elected officials, and not be an agency ignoring the law.My hope was that the decision would come down while there was a lull in interest, but that didn't happen.

EEngineer rrProfessor TX | "At least then it will be done by our elected officials, and not be an agency ignoring the law."Our elected officials should be using their time to attend to issues such as reducing the national debt, health care insurance, tax reforms, etc....And not wasting what little time they actually spend with such an issue as this.Besides, unelected bureaucrats "draw up" the laws that Congress actually votes on.....as seen when Pelosi makes such stupid comments as "We have to vote on a bill before we know what's in it".Congress themselves should have to actually write such bills....totally by themselves. That in itself would make them 99% less complicated....![]() Logo 600SXs, 800XX, TDR IIs
