Thanks again for all the nice comments, and i'm glad everybody has such a good sense of humor, and combining that with a scale flying event has got to be a great time!... Thanks again for the hearty welcome, and getting me through my first post!
....and 'old fart' (like me) regarding your question about the 600's fuselage, it is a Hughes Tow Defender I purchased from RCAerodyne, with very easy installation,... and I bought it before I could fly a helicopter as my inspiration to learn!

....I received a Roban 4-blade head for the Trex600 in this heli, and although I have never seen one up close, after watching a few videos (I think I might be even more confused now, and not even sure if it is a compatible fit)...i'm going to try and mount it up, if you guys have any tips, i'd luv to hear them!

Recheck head speed when making the switch. Mine runs about 1350.. (I need to recheck those numbers)

Set the phasing in the stab unit if you have to.. it is not necessary, you can phase mechanically but try to keep the push rods as straight as you can.

Put on some BIG ASS push rods.. use 2.5mm to the grips.

Which Head

Hey Phil,

Which head did get? If it's the "PNP" version, you can't mechanically set the phasing.

Hi Grim and Nark, the head is called the Roban 600/700 head (not plug and play), do the control rods, as you said, just come straight down to the swash?...Thanks

Nark....I like that...lol That should teach me not to type so fast!

Well if it's not a PNP head then as Mike (Grim) said, you need to either adjust your rods or do it through your FBL control...that is if the controller your using has the feature. I know that the Spektrum bx7200 doesn't have that option but I think most others do now.

Phasing...

Hi Mark (Nark) and Phil

I am sure that Jim Spice told me that you can do phasing on the 7200BX as long as you have the cable..
In answer to your question Phil, Yes, you try to keep the pushrods as close as possible to straight up as you can.. then you can clean up the phasing electronically...
For the best set up advise on a multi, go to Peter Wales homepage and us his guide.. it will be dead on every time!!

Hi Capt....although we wanted to come to PHX for the fly-in, Jim (Ace) is shoving off tomorrow for home, and i'm swamped with the off-road tours for the next couple weeks....here's a foto of Brad, Jim, and myself from the Coachella Desert Warbirds event a couple weeks ago....yes, Jim received "Best of Show" again!
