Hi Scaler's, I've always luved helicopters, and wanted to fly "scale heli's" forever, and even though i'm a senior citizen, for the past couple years I've taught myself how to keep one in the air, and made friends with several other new pilots and we've all tried to help each other out....I recently pieced together this TRex600 mechanics, tuned it up and programmed a BeastX to stabilize it....yesterday a friend took this video of my Defender and me.

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

Good to see the Scale Heli bug is spreading. Be aware, the only cure is to keep building and flying! Welcome aboard.
Love them flying eggs!

Ron

I didn't crash. I just ran out of airspeed, altitude, and ideas all at the same time!

Thanks Barry, Roy, Stan, rcheli808, Michael, Ron, cobieg, tailkiller, and JPee for your kind comments and encouragement, I have read and watched all of your many postings and videos, and Thank all of you for helping me along, and you probably didn't even realize it....and although I had doubts about me being able to fly a helicopter, I have found my niche in scale heli's, and I luv everything about them, the building and engineering, detailing, and of course the flying, what a reward! Our home in Oregon gets covered in snow, so we spend our winters in Arizona, and this winter has been a 'quantum leap' for me regarding the heli's, as I've been able to fly and build almost daily...I just finished up a TRex700 with an MD500 on it, and this summer I am planning on putting together an SS Bell 429,...my wife let me buy a little toyhauler, so I would like to attend some of the great Scale Heli Fly-ins that have been posted here.....please make room for me in line, because i'm joining!

Sad humor

Hey Stan, don't be scaring Phil away with you sad attempt at being funny...and yes, I am standing right now!

See Phil, this is why you need to start coming to these events...not to really fly but just hang out with characters such as Stan....which is worth may more then the price of admission....well at least some feel that way!
