Test Hops!!

Yahooooooohe!!!

It flies... needed some tweaking on the stabi system and the ESC/gov but it feels solid and no nasty shakes.. running 1330 HS and seems nice and happy there.. I may move up a bit if the tail needs it... I only had it in slow, low forward for the testing... need to hit the flying field for a little big air!!!
Thanks for all the input from everyone..it definitely made me look at things a lot closer then I normally would with a new kit...

Thanks, Stan

New Layout

I tried some new 6s batts that I had and they fit under the canopy..
So I removed almost 2 lbs of shot, left about 4 oz at the very front., it worked out well...
Will get some pics in the air, and will see if I can get someone to shoot some video..

Thx, Stan

Glad the maiden went well bud! Also, turning that dead weight into usable weight was the best thing that you could have done. Definitely no need to haul extra tonnage around for nothing

You work incredibly fast - just about one week to get it in the air!

Good to hear she fly's. I must say I've been reading so many horror story's on this kit. Been following everyone's build. I built mine 100% per the manual. All stock and it flew flawless. Again, only one flight but is was silky smooth. I guess if you produce 1000 kits a few have to be right...

Gravity's a bitch ant it?

Yeah it's funny how so many of us are building this kit at the same time. I never really liked the heli before I bought it. But they went on sale for 999.99 instead of 1,499.00 and I said what ta heck. And we all got the V1 that was already like 4 years old and no build threads out there except the one Chris B. did for RCA. Some of us like Stan got a kit that was made on Tues, Wed or Thur. The rest of got Mon and Fri. Personally, mine was built on a drunken, stoned hangover MONDAY!!! LOL.

Glad to see it made it in the air, Iflew mine as per the book, it did well but was not built on the day they were working in smooth. I damn near built a while new design for mine but then again j am rarely ever satisfied with the way it comes out of the box
