Logging

A couple of questions regarding logging:

1. How do I download the logs once they are set to record at start up?
2. Can they be seen from the iphone or have to be seen on the PC?
3. How many "flights" or sessions does it log? Only one and then its erased, or are there several recorded?

Thanks,

Franz

Logging:
1. How do I download the logs once they are set to record at start up?
In the Windows app, select the Diagnostic icon (on the right / top), then select "Logs".
Then select "Download files"
In the vibration analysis screen, it will start to "play" the log file and show you the vibrations following the time-line of the flight (from 0 seconds to the end of the flight (600 seconds = 10 minutes))
The logs will show a screen with all the selected sensors displayed. You can check / uncheck any of the sensors to unclutter the display.
2. Can they be seen from the iphone or have to be seen on the PC?
Logs and vibration analysis can only be displayed in the Windows app.
There is no way to display real time vibration analysis or download any of the logs files in iOS or Android.
3. How many "flights" or sessions does it log? Only one and then its erased, or are there several recorded?
That depends on the sample rate (10Hz, 20Hz or 50Hz).
Higher sample rates will consume more storage on the Brain 2.
The "flight" starts when the Brain 2 figures this this really a flight, and not just being powered up on he bench
I set the sample rate at 20Hz and I see there are typically 5 or 6 flight files listed when I download the log / vibration files.
As the storage fills up, the Brain will automatically overwrite old files.
You can download and save the files to your PC and play them back again later. This can be helpful to diagnose a new problem by comparing the latest log to one obtained weeks or months ago.

Is this firmware upgrade exclusive to Brain2 or will it work with Ikon2.

The new release works with all Brain and iKON

And, provides all Brain / iKON with the same advanced tuning and ease of setup.

The Brain / iKON v1.2 (this is the v1 with reversed polarity protection and is by far the most common MSH gyro sold to date) do not have the advanced hardware of the Brain / iKON 2 and will not support the logging and telemetry.

However, the Brain / iKON 1.2 will support the real time vibration analysis.

Spektrum SPM4649T

Following up on this receiver for telemetry. I have a DX18 G2.

1. How are the connections to the Brain? Via sat ports or 4/5/6? Both? Other?

2. Says I can run HV up to 8.4V.

3. All telemetry from HW ESC and Brain that is selected will be transmitted to Tx? No other sensors needed to get the MAH fuel gauge? That's the one I'm really interested in.

4. Which ports out of the SPM4649T?

5. In the Brain app, which type of receiver to choose? Single line I assume?

Thanks,

Franz

For the connection of the receiver to the Brain, in the panel 3 Receiver, select the "Spektrum SRXL" icon.
Then go in to the successive panel "4 Connections" and look that the receiver must be connected to the CH-3 connector of the Brain.

But pay attention !!!!
On the Spektrum site, here:
https://spektrumrc.com/Products/Def...ProdID=SPM4649T
In the "Manual and Support", there is a "Service bulletin" in which Spektrum explain that despite the nominal maximum power value indicated on the receiver label and in the instructions is 4 - 8.4V if the "currently in circulation" SPM4649T receivers are supplied to more than 7.5V, "BURN".
It should be inserted a step-down (the one normally used for the power of the LV tail servos) between the power supply (CH-3 connector), and the receiver SPM4649T to avoid problems (or reduced the supply voltage of all the electronics to 7,5V)

For telemetry instruction, look with the Windows app at the page "MANUALS" the "ESC_datas_log_telemetry". Is a 5 pages document, but you must look only to page 2 (Hobbywing ESC) and page 5 (Spektrum transmitter/receiver).

2s Lipo

So a high voltage setup with a 2S lipo that produces 8v when fully charged will burn the receiver?

Thanks for the info. very helpful.

actual under load its 7.4v so if you receiver is rated for 7.4 you should be fine.
