The funny thing is, one day at a funfly they had a contest. Not an auto contest, but a pickup rings with the skids, several in a row he who gets the most in the least amount of time wins so to speak.

TOP 3D pilots competing with me. Well, guess what, and you said it above, the stick bangers who flew hard core better than me couldn't hover accurately for $hit to pickup rings. They were all over the place I beat them by a mile getting all 4 in record time.

If that's what you took away from that, you've eaten enough glue. It's all in the setup, and the crazy smack 3D setups are necessarily responsive to do the things they do at the expense of precision hovering maneuvers.

yee-up, it's all in the set up,, I have a friend that has been flying Helis since 1974, he ONLY flies F3C, and he has his cyclic is so quick I will not even fly his Helis, he's well known in NH

That's absolute garbage. I fly 3d more than anything, and my helis are not twitchy or hard to hover at all. In fact theyre smoother than any other type I've flown.
