Shoestring with an old Fox sans muffler.

R/C? What was that? I was taught very young(1972) to spin counter-clockwise and not get dizzy.

This my Father doing the same to my oldest before he passed away.

Good times......

How is this ?. That's me about 1944 with my first airplane, certainly not an RC multichannel proportional, gps return to home, ARF
.
And yes, I am that old.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

What happened when you flew inverted?...Then you're flying clockwise......lol

I was taught to "walk" the center circle to avoid such dizziness.

Do you still fly C/L?

When you started in the hobby you didn't even know what radio control was plus your first helicopter gyro technology was not invented yet.

EEngineer~

When I flew inverted I crashed, everytime. I could never outfly the old man in CL. I still have a couple of CL's(Ringmaster and a P51 that I know the bellcrank would pull out) but haven't flown them in a couple years. Maybe this Summer in his honor if the Ambroid glue holds up.

My most satisfying memories are after starting R/C, he was the one on the buddy box due to cataracts, failing eyesight and bad depth perception. It felt good to help him continue to his last Summer and get the enjoyment we all crave.

Those are some great memories, for sure.

I can still fly C/L....and can still fly inverted....

Have you ever heard of the Cox "Hyper Viper"?

It was the most acrobatic plane Cox ever produced....looks akin to the C/L stunt aircraft they flew today.

I picked up a couple on E-Bay....new-in-box....lol
