Engine died in flight and at least landed flat. Bent/broke bottom frame, landing gear, and tail blades. Here's to parts on hand for a rebuild and no other major damage. Oh, and I landed twice, I may have bounced it off the runway once :/

Forgot to mention the backup birds are still Century birds so until they're all smashed to pieces and I can't find parts I guess I'll stick with them.

sorry to hear...

well at least you landed flat .... when I crashed mine landed nose down 45 degrees coming out of a stall turn.

make sure you check the feathering shaft... they normally bend a bit on belly flops. other not too obvious items are tail boom (at the base block) and supports at the frame mount points as well as side frames at the thin parts.

I still have my radikal in parts... waiting on free time to CNC a new bottom frame as well as weather, really gusty outside here in Cen tex

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

geesh, I too crashed the other day, it was 42F, I had to go see the wife's cousin in NH (he had a Defib installed) so I took my Rad and I crashed bad, I did a loop and she wouldn't pull out, boy it was beat up pretty bad. I said that was it for me for the 20 size gasser helis, I will stick to the 50 size glows for that size

so I have 2 Radikal 20 kits to sell. I think I can get them both in one box for shipping, one is the LT half built, the other is the HD still in the box, I have a new Sprag and a new Metal Fan, new 640 Rotor Tech's and a new V2 Muffler,
the LT has the lowest gearing, 13/90 I believe

if any one want's this stuff make me a good offer, I want to buy a plane for my (never started) B H Hanson Modified 20

let me know
PS, sorry I don't have the crashed Rad, he wanted it for his garage wall LOL, I may sell the stock 20 engine tho, not sure yet

Thanks Ram, I read/stalked your posts back when you crashed yours. Felt bad for you and yes glad I landed flat. Better find some time to get yours back in the air. Gearhead, sorry about yours too but don't tempt me. I ordered 'in stock' parts from heli-world on Tuesday but they haven't shipped yet, called and they should ship today when they find the parts. Comically enough, it includes parts for the G30 tail (bearings bored out the two carbon pieces) so I'm down to the hawk pro only for now. Knock on wood I don't go three for three.

Ha! I'll keep your links not sure I need the hawk pro parts yet but yah, that's a frankenhawk in the photo above with the yellow canopy. It's a smattering of hawk, raven, 50 NX, and a custom piece of wood all molded into FBL.

actually that piece of wood is "hobby plastic" you can buy it in sheets in hobby shops,

one reason why I liked the Century 30/50 so much (other than it flew so nicely) was that it's air frame had so many optional parts that make it very versatile, because it could be built as a 4st Century had 9 different gear ratios available for it at one time

Comically, it is a custom piece of wood I cut, sanded, and painted black as an electronics tray.

In other, unsurprising news, I had to cancel my hw order due to some of the parts not being in stock. I guess I'll tear it apart and see what's all broken and decide what to do from there to include the G30.
I'll keep your two kits in mind as I think this through.
