Hey guys well I had to take about a year break. Now I put all my lipos in storage charge when I quit. Question is are they still Good? Probaly charge first at 1c and keep a eye on the cells. Just don't want a flaming ball in the air. Obviously probably regrease thrust bearings and check to make sure all electronics are properly working. Also are helis dying out? Noticed alot of very popular websites are gone?!..... nice talking to you guys again any help is appreciated!

If kept near storage voltage should be just fine. I would check them with a cell checker to look for cells with low voltage. Sometimes over a long period of time a single cell will drop off(internal short?). If kept for a years time near full charge that will cause lesser quality cells to puff.

We made up some rules can we have your moneys now.

@OP,

If you want to feel really confident, run the packs through a couple of charge/discharge cycles and see how the numbers compare to the pack rating......

Been there, done that and old enough to know better.....

Thanx for the replys I have always flown hard but but kept extreme care of my packs. Still like a brick. What's up with the heli scene? Also probaly a couple drops of lube in my my bearings and regrease thrust bearings yea? Ty

If it was stored in a dry area out of the sun I don't think I would worry about the bearings unless you suspect the grease is dry. I've let helis and batteries sit for years at a time without issue(well, except for one hobbyking pack I left fully charged). I fly my hirobo lepton about every other year and it does fine.

If the grease is dry you'd need to clean that out then apply oil. Bearings with oil then require oil to be applied periodically.

Heli scene hasn't changed much for me

Oh man o man FINALLY got everything out hooked up batteries appear ok thank good ov ed thousand dollars. All cells only one cell was .5v roughly low. Gonna run a storage charge on everything now and balance

I would do it at 1C..... make a note on how much you put in and how much you take out ..... then compare it to what it "should" be (battery rating)
