Anyone here have the lutema large helicopter? I looked at the review: http://rcjudge.com/lutema-large-helicopter-review/ but i'm not fully convinced?

I'm getting it for my 13 year old? Or does anyone have better recommendation?? Thanks in advance!

I would stay away from large coaxial of that sort , most likely a one flight wonder if a lot of weight comes down stuff just brakes ...

choose a smaller one that you can find parts for

If you want a largish size machine that is not too expensive, then skip the co-axials and get something that is more practical and a better step up to proper rc heli's.

The V913 has been out a little while now so has had the benefits of upgrades over the course of time. It's an easy and very forgiving tough machine to fly and a lot of fun. I have the smaller version of this one which is the V912....Mine has survived for 4 yrs now and is still going strong. Parts are easy to get too

raizau, my friend bought one of those helis you posted, it's junk, I told him not to buy it, but as he said he "want's to do things his way",, well,, the charger wouldn't charge the battery, and when he called to send it back, he was told they would not refund his money because he took it out of the box and he tried to fly it,, go figure

I agree with Ghostrider, The heli he put the link for would be great for learning. Or if you want to go a little cheaper till you get something a little bigger you could go with the Scout CX.

13 Year Old

I would think that a 13 year old would pick up on a coaxial quite rapidly, and become bored with it..
I would suggest one of the Blade helis that have Safe technology... amazing machines... jmho

Yeah that's a good point, when I got my first heli (a coaxile) I was 9 and I picked that up quickly. Most kids these days pick it up quickly, I've heard guys at the field say it's cause of video games which could be very true. But yeah doorman made a very good point, I'd go with him.
