Evening all ,,,

I recently purchased a turn key Vario EC 135 heli that needs to be reprogrammed on my DX 18... It currently has a Futaba 14mz in it and flys great.. It has a sookum 360, Futaba 520 gyro on the tail etc etc..
I'd really like someone who knows what they are doing and familiar
With this type of set up to do the reprogram...

Ill gladly pay for your time.

Let me know

Thank you

I'll be selling the 14mz when the swap is done. Someone will get a heck of a deal on it... It's the heli version

I'm familiar with the DX18 somewhat ( I had a DX9 and I help a friend with his DX18 ) and I'm familiar with Skookum. But it does the tail so there is no need for another tail gyro.
I'm local too and will have time next week.

The Skookum 360 is very old technology and was just for the swash so you could go flybarless, it has no gyro for the tail. This may be something you want to consider upgrading, would potentially make setup much easier. I would suggest picking up a used MSH Brain if you want to save a dollar. Many people are upgrading to the Brain2 and selling the original Brain controllers, me included. My transmitter is a DX18 also. There is an update coming out in a couple of more weeks from MSH that will allow you to use the Spektrum SPM 4649T receiver. This is the new bi-directional SRXL protocol telemetry receiver from Spektrum.

There is a FBL controller that doesn't include the tail gyro in it? Who would have thought.
I flew helis back in the FB nitro days, then took a break and when I came back, it was electric and FBL. Guess I missed the transition phase with FBL controllers missing the tail gyro.
Now I know.

Thanks for the response gents,,, Should I order the skookum 760 and eliminate the gyro on the tail. I want to do the re rig once and be done with it.. It will also help if there is an understanding of the vario set up and mechanics...

Let me know... I just want to fly the thing... Lol

Thanks gents
