Would it be better to buy the TREX700X version with the bigger motor over the TREX700L V2?

How well does the Align ESC work? I'm a little skeptical with new products.

Is anyone flying these machine that can give me some feedback?

Thanks

I swear never to try that trick again! What the hell is only money!

The ESC's are HobbyWing Platinum with an Align badge as far as I can see. Solid ESC's

As stated they are HW ESCs. Just rebranded and labeled as Align.

Unfortunately only you can make the decision if you want the latest version with the more powerful motor. They are honestly both great Helis. I had the original 700L and I enjoyed it very much, the 700X flies a little different but not saying one flies better then the other, just different than the L.

Right now they are having sales on a lot of the kits, including the 700X so it may be worth it to look at. Good luck and enjoy whichever you choose!

few more difference.

New 700X Kit has newer servos vs 700L V2

700L V2 can use the speed fuselage, 700x you need to make spacers to make it work.

Wiring on the 700X is much better then 700L V2

700X as 3 blades setup needs some a blade holder the stock one is too long.

Personal I have 2 700x kits, one is 2 blades the other is 3 bladed. Six other local flyers got the kit as soon it was available.

One tip for you if you get the 700x kit:
main shaft spacer put it under the top main bearing. All gears and pinions align much better.

DFC vs EFL

The 700L has a DFC head. The 700x has an EFL. The 700L has a Microbeast. The 700X a Microbeast HD. 700X will cost me $350 more. Which one do I get?

Is the HW ESC governor that much better than the Castle one?

Is this the answer to my question EFL vs DFC for $350 more? Admittedly, the 700X does appeal to me more aesthetically because of the stacked frames, new tail servo mount and canopy but really the big question in my mind is why Align are going back to EFL after actively promoting their DFC for several years. There must be a technical reason there somewhere.

Aside from price, the 700L is also more accessible to me. I'm going to Osaka in a few days and I get to pick up the product in my hands and carry it home whereas I need to order the 700X online and wait for the delivery. We don't have any good hobby shops selling helis anymore where I live. Arghh. Decisions!

Not Really ! DFC was cheap to produce and a scam. Stacked frames are much better - more rigid.

Basically it's just not a good system. It puts a lot of force in all kinds of directions on the DFC arms, for no real benefit. People think it made it feel more "responsive", but that's just because it needed very stiff dampeners in order to not wobble.

It was never really a well thought out design, just a gimmick. Most real engineers were scratching their heads when Align came out with it.
