Can anyone tell me the difference between the micro iKon and the micro ikon 2 controllers? I purchased the micro iKon today at HeliDirect because it was on sale for $79.99. But may I should have gotten the micro 2.

Please help.

I would get the IKon2 because the cpu is 4x faster, and that will translate to a longer firmware support and better overall performence vs IKon.

Thanks. This one is going in my 180 cfx. I think the feature difference is the micro has a motor adjustment (I'll have to figure that out) and the micro2 has a governor. I am using the governor in the Castle so I guess I will be ok. Can't beat the price.

The main thing I need is the bail out, and it has that. (:-))

In addition to the newer CPU, the iKON 2 / Brain 2 has built in logging for many different parameters and vibration.
You can even get real time read out for the logs and vibration analysis.

The mico / mini do not have an option for built in bluetooth.
But, you can get an MSH module that connects to the SYS/IO port.
This gives you connectivity to both Android and Apple devices and can be used with a BT enabled Windows PC for wireless connectivity.

The Brain 2 / iKON 2 also supports telemetry functions for certain radios with more to come.
In the Jeti line of radios, it support bi-direction communications so you can make real time adjustments to the gyro through the front panel of the transmitter

The iKON 2 / Brain 2 is the basis for all the new features that MSH has in the pipeline.

I think you might kick yourself if you don't get the Brain 2 / iKON 2.

I own 4.

Thanks. Right now I am having fits with the micro. I have my tail gain set at 15 because any higher than that and it wags something fierce. And the thing wanders around a lot. Looking at the swashplate, it just does not move up and down without tilting. When it does the startup pitch pump, instead of going up and down it goes left and right. All my other iKons do a pitch pump.

Very strange behavior.

The swash tilting on start up sounds like the "Rescue" is enabled on power up.
You should not have "Rescue" enabled all the time.
For testing, uncheck all the boxes for Rescue and see if it does the pitch-pump at startup instead of the rolling.

The Auto Level is different from the Rescue.
I think Auto Level can be enabled all the time.

I am not sure about the tail gain though.
Your heli uses a electric motor on the tal for the rotor - right?
I don't have experience with those.
But, there may be a problem with the motor's ESC or maybe the motor itself.

My Heli is a 180cfx. It has a shaft drive tail.

The pitch pump is working properly now. I had RESCUE checked in the first Bank. If I get some decent weather I will get it outside and fly it around a little, but it does seem to want to wander in a hover. Maybe if I crash it in snow it won't hurt it too bad.

The micro ikon (not 2) should be fine for me in the Blade 180. I am just sport flying and it should be way better than the stock Skektrum unit it came with.

I can't imagine the micro ikon 2 would have anything to do with my gyro gain having to be so low or the wandering issue. I just have to work it out I guess.
