My question is: What is going to keep someone from throwing a blanket over the quad an keeping it Just seems to me that eventually every kid in some neighborhoods would have one.

And daily news articles about drones crashing into property. The FAA wants to regulate our line of sight flying but doesn't stand against Amazon drones. And more unemployment after that. Killing our economy. I would never vote to have drones do our daily jobs. Unfortunately we have little to no say.

because this is what happens when you create a consumer environment that desires to have everything NOW and cheap... how many of you here (or know of people) who buy the next new phone just cause its the next thing, how many of you here would spend just a little extra for convenience, how many here love the idea of something being delivered within minutes rather than days over driving across town trying to avoid being hit by a dumba$$ driver thats busy ordering crap online or checking their FB status.

WE created this mess, WE have no one but ourselves to blame, and WE are the only ones that can fix it, and that my friends aint gonna happen with todays entitled, lazy, live off the gov, everybody gets a trophy, throw it away and get a new one, "someone" (not me but someone else) should do something lifestyle we have given birth to and continue to enable by our spending habits and desire to be kings in our own minds.

This is what the future is, you either find a way to profit from it OR you learn to be a slave to it.... Pick one.

otherwise learn to recognize the "wouldnt it be cool if..." scenario that techies spark into life that often leads to further control over our lives

the world is evolving and in order to continue to do so other things must be sacrificed.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

all being "dumb'd down" to suit greater sales. quad a dumb'd down mall copter, that a dumb'd down cp micro, just a dumb'd down cp 450, that a dumb'd down 500 to 600, those not entirely dumb'd down from the 700+ cp helis but a little.

I've seen some general retailer sales flyers (the paper kind) today and they had "drones" included in their items, omg rc heli flyers/pilots thought they were a fringe group, still are compared to a dumb quad rotor type and no one is going to support cheap little broken one's either.

Now EVERYBODY knows about toy rc, just about thanks to the word "drone".

I am all for Amazon Drone Delivery, the sooner, the better.

Who am I to know when you need or want to use Amazon drone delivery service? Maybe you need medicine delivered in the middle of the night. Maybe you are handicapped and have no way of getting a product you need today. Maybe a defibrillator flown in from the fire department will save your wife's life.

Having the service available would be fantastic, and I don't need anyone telling me when it is appropriate to use it. If I have the money, let me spend my money anyway I want.

In the city, you can usually get anything within about 5 miles of you. In the country where my parents live, it is 20miles to the nearest store. Having something flown in might make sense at some point in time.

Thank you c54fun

I attended a discussion a couple of years ago where vaccines were being flown to villages by multi-rotor. The refrigeration required did not allow for the vaccines to be transported by foot.

The tribal wars prevented easy passage from one village to another. Use of multi-rotors was seen as an absolute necessity.

We have to open our minds to possibilities and recognize that our needs differ from others.

I am sure that there are hundreds of similar applications where use of these services will make a real difference.

Dropping a GPS location/flotation device to someone that just fell off of a cruise ship. Flying bandages/food to war torn areas. Surveying natural disasters and fires.

The list is never ending. If it takes an Amazon to get the FAA to move on this issue, I am behind Amazon 100 percent.

hmm,

There will always be positives and negatives. I have seen where some drones that are used earlier this year to drop off insulin and much needed medical supplies in 3rd world countries villages.

there have also been reports of illegal drug deliveries across the boarder and into prison complexes...not to mention the piles of peeping toms using them.

I cant wait for "illegal" drones to start catching "good" drones in mid air...

then the regulations will sky rocket and our hobby will become extinct (or exist as only rubber band powered free flight models)

theres alot of things that have to be in place before any of this become viable...

just imagine the EPA regs when piles of LIPOS start filling garbage bins due to their low life span when commercialization by amazon and others goes full scale

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

it should be noted my reply came after reviewing a delivery by uas to a Madagascar town in need of medical supplies.

Oddly enough someone told me they didn't mind watching youtube vehicle crashes because it thins out the dumb people with poor dna, natural selection and all that. After seeing what Allepo Syria is all about, having watched overhead views via "drone" on the news several days ago, ???.

with the things I know and have challenged, like flying in a blizzard with 40mph+ winds, hmm, it took only 10 years before the airplane was weaponized. only took 3 to weaponize the predator spy uas. Guess what I'm saying that if people don't even know how to drive and the gov still gives them a license, what's stopping the degenerate 'tards out there from dragging the whole rc interest back to times when everyone in was considered a boy in a mans body, infintile, benign, yet capable of very nasty idiotic things on innocent victims who became the target for a mental cases amusement? say it ain't so, so. RC was a pseudo innocent interest alternate to weapons, didn't mean guys with rc didn't have another hobby in just that. Put the two together and what do you have? And I could show you someone who is off the deep end with home security cams and accused me of having a spy came on my helis.

You know people are idiots and beasts, now you give them another means to terrorize people? great, just freakin great.

YOU CAN'T SAVE THE WORLD

a woman in high position told me many years ago.

I just finished trying to 3d a Johnson sky crane in the sim this morning (go high) and succeeded in some loops, rolls, and a few piro loops, lol x's 10. THAT'S how they were meant to be flown, non stop lol atm. Gonna work toward doing that irl one day, need to turn up the cyclic and cp. B'cause it's FUN man.

Mr. Drone, you have great potential.
