100% agree with ticedoff8.
Maybe keep your favorite one of the bunch but sell the rest now while they still have value. buy what you want later when you get back into the hobby again.
So...what one is your favorite of the bunch?

+1 with the sell most of it stuff option. Balance in life with family and work is your priority now. Priorities and available time change over time - family always stays at the top for me. I have been in the hobby for a while, from my perspective fly what is current technology when you are ready to get back into it. Bank the money you get which will only be a portion of what you paid and or might think it is worth. 50 cents on the dollar would be a good high price to try to get, wouldn't surprise me if you ended up closer to 20 - 30%. Keep 1, maybe 2 and the parts and batteries. And, when you don't use them for a year or two sell them too.

FWIW I just bought a 300 just to get the BeastX for less than a Beastx alone and have spare parts for my 300 for essentially no money. Good luck as you ponder your decision, Andy

Inverted IS more fun!

Jerrit1, easy, my B500 series.....

But I also like my B400 (series 1) as it has traveled all over the world with me and been flown hundreds of different places....

Honestly, the only one that I don't care for that much is my B450X. I have never been able to eliminate the tail shakes in it....

The balance in life is challenging, and I fully realize that my time with my kids will go all too fast. I do however still need to retain my sanity and still "be me".

I do have other hobbies that I will not give up. I have a "real" helicopter that I love to fly. So if I am going to cut one out, it will be the RC helis.

It's a tough call, but I am leaning towards eliminating a portion of the fleet.... The ONLY time I have found to fly them in the last few years is when I am on a work trip.

I appreciate all of your suggestions and input. Anyone want me to drop into their RC heli fun fly with a full scale heli?? Sorry, no 3D with the Rotorway...

I think you just told on yourself... It's not that you don't have the time for RC helis, you just put all that time into a REAL one. As I believe
anyone on here would, that could afford/have the chance to have one! I know
I would put mine on the backburner to do that

Anyway, I also agree that maybe sell most of them and keep 'something' for
when you might get the 'itch'. And if after quite awhile, you still don't
even fly that...then??

Correct, it's a choice.... I have been flying RC helis since 1997, so it's not easy to let them go. But if I have to choose one I will choose the full scale.

I hope that when the kiddos get older that at least one of them will have an interest in flying and/or RC. Then maybe I can return to it more frequently...?...

My fleet of RC helis has changed many times over the years. My first was a Century Hawk 30. I guess it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to change it again.

Didn't know you had a full scale. I can only dream about getting the heli ticket. As far as right now, that possibility is about as likely to happen, as me going to the space station.

Joe,

Its been a life long dream of mine to get a heli and earn a rating!

There are a few "affordable" heli, all homebuilt (Experimental Amateur Built)of course.

Rotorway, Safari, Helicycle, Mosquito..... In my mind however, there has only ever been one option. I am a Rotorway fan 100%.

They are literally built like a big RC heli! Not a Bind N Fly however....

Aside from the insurance, they don't cost anymore than a decent midsize car to buy and maintain. Just have to find a good used one.

Some day. Maybe if I just saved the money I am putting into RC!

The guy that owns/owned the Swap Shop in Lauderdale had one. He used to fly around the flea market in it.
I like building stuff, so experimental would be something i would enjoy.
Maybe wouldn't be safe, I've destroyed a bunch of rc helis, during the learning curve.
