Quick one guys---

My last gasser was a 1005 so its been a while..

Doing whiplash gas now..

On zenoah do you guys leave the carb return spring or
un-hook and take the load off the servo.

PLEASE leave it on... the spring load on the servo is typically less than 10% of the rated torque of the weakest servos in this size range on the heli.

one member even suggested using a spring return tension sufficient to move a HS servo (like a tail servo) to the throttle cut position should power be lost to the Rx...

If you take it off, and the rod/link falls off cause of a crash or breaks mid air, your engine may go full throttle or even open and close randomly making your gasser experience the worst.

That spring also serves to apply tension on the connection, which takes any slop out of the mechanical connection to the servo making for a much more stable rpm.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

I have always added a spring to return throttle and servo to the closed position in case of power loss.
