Why do you think you can't do use you suggested. Why do motors run CCW, since they could be designed to run CW. A good example is some twin screw RC boat use counter rotating engines.

Scale helis will spin ccw. Tail is on the left side too. You can get blades that are asymmetrical or symmetrical......whats your appclation?

cause if you do, since the manufacturers logo is typically on the top side of a CW rotational blade, people at the field will tell you your blades are upside-down...

this would then force you to fly inverted so as not to confuse the newbs and plankers.

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

So you guys are saying there is no reason I can't buy a regular set of blades and run them upside-down if I'm turning ccw

I thought they were all fully symmetrical. How do we fly inverted well if they are not?

not all especially when you reach the 800 class range, some are semi-symmetrical, these types of blades are designed for heavy lift, aero-photography or even scale apps.

once you go over 800mm some if not most are semi-symmetrical.

just look and check with the manufacturer to ensure your getting what you want.

Aligns 800mm blades HD800AT are 100% symmetrical

Thanks... with an Align800, I will be watching for that from now on. I will pay attention whenever I order.

Makes sense.
