Thanks guys,

Steve.. i have a Micro Proto TAIG 2000. Its a SWEET HEART!

the bear paw will be cast in rubber and a shore 90 urethane part/s made from that tool. The wax comes from Freeman. I only chose wax because I had it laying around. REN board would have worked too. I have machined quite a bit of REN 472 for vacuum forming.

Super sweet stuff..

one of those fancy machining machinethings?!?! I'm jealous.

I am lucky to have full access to one of these machines
As long as you have a drawing program that will produce DXF files, just load and burn

Stan,

The tail boom is crooked.. and I like this machine SO MUCH it warrants repair or replacement. The belly pan gets attached tonight and then we can start stripping paint to see what can be done with the boom. I will look it over closely and if its not worth fixing I will ATTEMPT to get a new from ECV..

should not be long before it starts to look like a heli again!

not going as smooth as Stan or Peters builds but going well just the same. Got the paint stripped and will be replacing the boom. Making my own tail drive (cable).. again square drive .187" cable.

Made a cargo hook and a new spacer for the motor plate.

Lots to go.

The rebuild is looking great! I like your cargo hook too.

Thank you.. I am very happy with the rebuild so far.. I am now starting to work on the Fast Fin mod.. I am going to make a set of plugs from hard wood and vacuum form two halves.

I made a set of front skid steps for the gear from G-10. Kind of slick in the end. I also wanted to cover up the landing gear bow bolts so I made a set of clamp like covers for the bolts out of delron.

Anyway.. more to come

Just about ready to order the motor controller and batteries.

I hope others are getting some ideas from the pics for there builds.
