My take would be to ban RTF, and regulate build as in experimental aircraft. The hobby has been dumbed down to the point that a lot of screaming idiots have come in, and done screamingly stupid things, thus the current mess. Were they required to actually build and setup their models, I think most would learn how to fly responsibly, and the irrecoverable dolts that would have never been in the hobby if not so dumbed down, would drop out. For me, at least, building is as much (if not more) fun than flying (and harder to break anything building as well!)

Friends don't let friends become electrotarded . . . .

I was wondering this about drones as well.

I'm missing seeing Thunder Tiger Heli's and Their sponsored Pilots in the USA.

I kind of think that more brands of helis being available now is what hurt TT's heli sells in the USA. Their parts where way higher than Align and I never could swing getting one but did want an x50N and an X50E.

I haven't really noticed that heli's have slowed but I do see many of the micro forums are deserted now.

If its fixed don't break it.

and what the heck happened to Avant?

also, where would aerial photography be without the quad? that's something to consider, probably an ugly sight.
